Wow yes, I've done some searching since reading this thread because I'd never heard of MGTOW, and some are like rabid dogs with their opinions of women.

I found this UK blog presenting itself as British MGTOW, it's stuff like this...

Women are always looking for your replacement. They view relationships without empathy like a company would look at potential candidates for a job. And of course, they always pick the better-suited candidate. And they will lie to you till they are blue in the face of the potential men they are lining up. They will keep you astray. Keep you under their subjective allure to ensure you are a willing participant and remain intact in your temporary slave role until she can better find a wealthier and more resourceful man.

There's no doubt that any movement will attract quite a number of very vocal "crazies" (especially since the advent of the internet ), but there are those with rational arguments for their decision in relation to the cost–benefit analysis and risk–benefit analysis in western society today. With the divorce rate over 50% I see nothing wrong with not rushing in, or holding off on marriage.

True, I guess it all just seems a bit alien to me because women in my life are no better or worse than men, just humans who mess up sometimes.
Around half of my deepest friends are women, who I love same as male friends, although sometimes not in the same physical way. I get midnight drunk calls off my female friends and will chat bull# for an hour plus, I get invited to home cooked food and do whatever practical thing is wanted doing, then share a bottle of wine.
Women are a massive part of my life, and I couldn't imagine 'going my own way' as a man.

Women in my social group control the prick blokes from say burying someone in the moors, they have the best gossip, and are generally very powerful and an integral part of the tribe.
I won't be going on my own way any time soon, that's for sure.

Dude I was on about world population, I didn't realise you meant just the 'western world'.
Doesn't apply in the UK though as Eastern European people have helped increase our population year on year.
The 'western world' population decline though, what's the problem? Plenty of people in the world to make up for them.

LMAO, it's been a few years since I was monogamous for sure, but I'm in multiple deep relationships with female friends who also don't want commitment, so are they FGTOW then?

Sorry man but if that's all it is the whole concept of a movement seems ridiculous to me, friends who love each other, enjoy companionship, shared activities, group identity, sex without commitment to one person, trust, friendship, and respect?
That's just being human in a strong tribe to me.

I live in a HGTOW world lol, humans go their own way, seems much better than the gender specific world as in the OP.

It appears that a good number of people here don’t really understand what MGTOW is. This is not a brotherhood. MGTOW’s aren’t going around policing each other, making sure they are following MGTOW guidelines — it’s not like AA. Nobody cares if I stay being MGTOW.

I don’t watch MGTOW videos on a regular basis. In fact, I haven’t watched a video about it in almost 2 years — until this thread was created. Most the videos you will see are cynical and vulgar, this I will agree. Hence, why I don’t put that negativity in my brain frequently. At the beginning I viewed it as funny, now mostly negative. This is the reason I have not posted any of the videos which describe what it really is.

To further, I challenge the universe to make me reverse my MGTOW ways. I would love to be able to trust like I used to. There are just so many people out there that will take advantage of trust — both male and female alike.

Yup, your a MGTOW. It does not mean having no women in your life. It basically means that you won’t marry, Have children (I’ve already had mine and can’t produce anymore), and intermingle finances. Like I said before, there are supposedly different levels. Just a means of identification of what you tolerate. For me, relationships are not out the door. But if I did happen to get in one, I would not be letting her have any partnership in my business. I would not intermingle finances. If the only thing they can take from you (if you break up) is themselves, then you’re in a good spot.

The gender specific group seems alien to me. Female friends are a massive part of my life so I'm not a man going my own way, I'm just in the same gig as my female friends 'going their own way' so HGTOW seems a much more sensible campaign to me.

There is a reason in the old days the phrase 'Seven year itch' was an accurate warning and well versed. Most couples start relationships biased by their own perceptions. The partners are not deceiving them, male and females, deceive themselves.

When reality sets in and they start to see their partner isn't who they thought they were, they are forced to make a choice. Really get to know their partner and create a new realistic relationship or leave. One can only hope that even if they recognize this perception transition occurs, their new partner will have found this truth as well.

Without accepting responsibility for your own misperceptions...one will be destined to continually deceive themselves. Today, more and more seem to want to point fingers and stubbornly refuse to correct themselves.

Yep, and it's that level of scientific advancement and mentality that has caused confusion for individuals suffering from identity crisis. I respect the individuals right to choose their own fate, however, so that is a personal belief not intended as an offense.

What I think isn't being forgotten in this battle of the sexes is that we all suffer in some fashion during this walk. Men are raped, beaten, sodomized, murdered, taken for granted, and degraded just as often as women.

I know this as a fact because I was raised by my mother and two sisters. I count myself lucky because I never had a constant dominant male personality using fear to facilitate changes in behavior.

Sure, I was raised by women. It didn't affect my ability to get dirty, catch frogs, throw a baseball with friends, climb trees, or any other activity that children enjoy.

It granted me something I always noticed that was lacking in other guys around me, and that's compassion and empathy. I was encouraged to facilitate fair play, and to treat everyone the same. I never knew of racism, and once I encountered it my mom taught me why it's wrong.

Men have always had an innate negative response to "feminism" as it is implied because it is viewed as weakness, when really it is an important factor in civility and accepting others without prejudice or preconception. It's actions that define a person, and judgement based on both perspectives in order to see things from an unbiased one works wonders in treating people as they should be.

Double whammy.
