Isn't RT already a disinformation agency? this seems kinda redundant.

I've seen RT before and It's all 'USA did this' or 'Britain did that' or my favorite 'I better not speak out of turn or the former KGB agent come President might have my poisoned.'

Usually a source is discredited by the material it puts out, not by the word and prophecy of some guy on the internet.

Come on, the slogan is "Wake Up Americans". Pretty classic conspiracy saying, only normally it's "wake up America!"

Or do you really trust the Russian state apparatus to not put out a bunch of disinformation?

You don't have to believe anything American MSM says to realize this is state propaganda. Don't be so naive.

Well first of all, I wasn't even trying to vouch for their credibility. Just calling the thread out for what it is

And secondly, naivety would be believing this is going to be disinformation without any context whatsoever.

Muh Russia?

But don't let that stop you or the OP.

Enjoy.

You're like the poster boy for deep state philosophy, Woo.

Everything you say has to be filtered through that lens.

It will be more truthful than CNN most likely. Putin is smart and knows the truth is damaging to globalist propaganda.

As always, especially in this age, filter your information people. Even this post of mine, but especially the poster boy who made this thread.

All due respect, but I've read many of your posts, and some threads, and it is kind in saying that the sources you have used make bat# crazy look perfectly reasonable.

It's all on record for anyone to see. So I it appears you must take us for fools to blindly accept your obvious hypocrisy.

OK, just sounded like you thought they might be credible. No worries!

Doesn't take a prophet to figure this one out. What if Murdoch spent a large sum of money to open another news corporation. Do you think the slant would be totally different from Fox? Or pretty much the same?

What if Soros founded a newspaper in Hungary? Would he make sure that a ton of the writers are conservatives who are critical of his own values, or would he try to bring out his own views?

Nope. It's a terror organization according to some. Which is why I read it, to be frank.
Just to piss off Big Brother and this fricken Nanny State. And to get a job as Russian Troll, of course.

Comparing RT to a terrorist organization is “absurd” and “shameful” for a person in a position like BBG’s Andrew Lack, WikiLeaks spokesperson Kristinn Hrafnsson told RT, adding that its “understandable” given how WikiLeaks was treated.

Coming from you I'm in no way offended and certainly don't feel intellectually inferior. Quite the opposite. Feel free to post examples and be prepared to defend your point. Especially the part about hypocrisy. That's your domain.

Anyone else find it strange how many so-called patriots showed up in this thread arguing in favor of a foreign nations state controlled media?

Everyone knows the news media is and has been crap, but to infer that means Russian government propaganda is somehow better is completely crazy.

Mainstream media being crap doesn’t equal the Russian government being truthful. No matter how you slice it.

Well RT has had to close offices so I guess at least they can go somewhere. RT needs to be careful now that the government makes them register as a foreign agent. As a foreign agent there is restrictions on what they can broadcast I'm betting this is a way around that.

Personally, I've never sought out RT or visited whatever site they have. I have clicked on links from here occasionally, but I don't take any "news" outlet at face value and always research anything of interest apart from what's "sold" in a story.

Having said that, it did become quite clear early on that RT was designed to tell a lot of truths that the compromised MSM here won't.

It's brilliant strategy because the deep state globalists lie so much, I'm sure we do much the same thing in other countries---just not at home.

Actually, I find it quite helpful, and in some cases a confirmation of previous hunches.

Who said anything about intellectual inferiority?

Quite the opposite.

Oh, so you think or feel superior?

Ok. At least we know what we are dealing with.

Feel free to post examples and be prepared to defend your point.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

While your OP makes a ridiculous extrapolation and conclusions which rely on information being taken out of context or not put in proper context, your second post uses "theconserrvativetreehouse" as a source.

A known right wing propaganda source. Did you "filter" that source before you used it?

That's your domain.

Jesus. I hope you at least are able to recognize that you are using an "I know you are but what am I" argument.

It’s ridiculous to claim a news source is fake news before the news source has even written its first article. According to the announcement, it makes its aims explicitly clear. Whether it lives up to these claims is not yet known, and any assumption otherwise is perhaps the result of peering through the lens of the “information flow coming from the US and it’s allies”.

The value of Russia Today and this new news service isn’t about getting information to people who visit their sites or hurting America through telling the “truth”. It’s about producing flavored news that can be spread to all the less than reputable aggregator sites, mostly ending with the word “pundit”.

It kind of works like money laundering. Except with information. After the BS Russian state propaganda is produced it’s then cycled through various less than reputable news aggregators which washes some of the Russian stench off of it.

After a while, the same BS story pops up but without a link back to mother Russia. Then it can be consumed without worry by the people who want to believe what they’re reading, regardless of whether it holds any truth or not.

This is how it all works. To think Russia is hurting the U.S with “truth bombs”is part and parcel to their propaganda.
