The Shed 19

Hello everyone.
I had a thought about a song as I took my walk the other day.
So I impulsively wrote it down and recorded it.

I felt with the approach of summer the Shed needed a summer song.
(Maybe not this one. lol But until something better comes along. )

So here is something I put together called,
"The Summer Sunshine Rainbow Shed."
(Nice short title)

I must say that unlike my previous songs, I did not record the music. I used a pre-made music track and added the voices.
Also the video was the best I could do under the circumstances.
It's unbelievably difficult to find beach video set in a fantasy world.

So here goes.
Be kind.
I only have a low range voice.

This garden was only established three years ago.up to then I was living here alone and was focused on other projects around the property.

I used to have a 1000 square feet when I lived in Connecticut, my goal is to keep adding an extra 100 every season until it's big enough to support more preserve endeavors.

We have a large variety of fresh veggies and we live like vegetarian kings and queens in the Summer, but I have to ration space for the abundance crops yet.. so we focus on potatoes, and pickles for the long haul,so far.. I do hang onions in the basement and am planning on doing that with the garlic this year as well but for now I try to use the space I have developed so far to suit the needs of our family..

I'm beat hun, I'm gonna put the phone down and just relax a bit, I feel it's gonna be An early night for me.

What a day!!!! Mark and his Brother are prepping to do major work around the house, starting with the kitchen. I was moving a bunch of things around and am so effin sore. They did a lot of work, but still have a lot ahead of them. I had to keep moving things around for them to work, the lighter stuff, but man! Plus sweeping and what-not. They will be painting the ceilings, woodwork, putting wallpaper up, lighter colored paneling halfway down the wall...

I was offline all day and I haven't even had supper. 7:11 pm here!

Some things I share a whisper of but most issues I keep close to my heart. I also don’t post too much about my real life friendships and get togethers because I feel very protective about the privacy of those relationships. Sometimes I mention them, but most times not.

Sounds like your place will look very nice once it is done. Sorry you had to get so sore helping out.. but it will be worth it in the end.

Lost two lengthy posts and gave up.

House move is finished and I'm sitting amongst a myriad of packed boxes and furniture looking for new homes ... it can stay like that 'til motivation levels increase.

Hope the slow glitchiness is now sorted !

Hey! Of course you deserve your writer status and so does Light. Writer status on ATS doesn't "just happen" without any skill or effort. Everyone here who has that status, deserves it!

I always look at moving in phases . Packing and getting it moved are the two first phases. Settling in is the last and most fun. Take your time and get it the way you want it. Get rid of stuff you won’t use.

hello all... i did some adulting today and took my car for an oil change... and then i came home and tried the new multiplayer version of stardew valley with my husband for way too many hours, hehe. doing some laundry now and just chilling, hope everyone is well!

Adult things, respect! I should really do some vacuum cleaning. First i postponed it because i didn't have empty new bags for the dust to put in the vacuum cleaner. Now i have them so i have kind of ran out of excuses here...

Did you move to a cooler place? Probably a stupid question but I try to be positive...

I got stuck online and in the meanwhile, heated my sauna a bit too hot. Around 80c or 176f is my favorite, this time the thermometer was pointing at 95c or 203f. Still enjoyable and relaxing, but slightly too hot. Had to collect myself for a while sitting in a cool shower afterwards.

They actually arrange world championships in this too. Sauna. I can't understand it. For me, sauna has always been a place of relaxation and general calming down, letting go of stress. But i don't have to, and i can't, understand everything. Some years ago, in the sauna world championship final, it was a Finnish dude against a Russian dude. Now i am not blaming, or judging, or pointing fingers, but the Russian dude died and the Finnish dude had to spend months in a hospital. Not my idea of fun and good time. But they were there willingly, doing what they felt was right at the moment. It is just that some deaths and injuries are pointless, and almost bring a dose of shame upon an almost sacred place like sauna.

I told the guys I would pay for take out, but Mark's Brother had other plans. Mark and I ordered though.

I have been making up boxes of stuff to give away. I have too much stuff myself. Good stuff though. Some with emotional attachment like gifts from people. Maybe I just need a bigger place. Can't afford one though. LOL

As for the site being slow, please comment in the thread about it. I know there's one somewhere and was subscribed to it, but cleaned up my subscribe list recently. It has been slow on and off for some time and for many of us. Aggravating as hell.
