I can see the beach from the upstairs balcony ... coming into the cooler months, it also gets great afternoon sun.

It's only temporary, maybe for 12 months.

I understand and I don't share much either. But there are many ways to tell a tale, it can bring relief and an altered perspective to paint an allegory of RL happenings.

I like your rendition Blue. Much less harsh to the eye than the original.

It took me 90 seconds to find the artist. Cor Jaring a Dutch artist from the 1960's, rather controversial.
I couldn't find an interpretation of this picture but it is rather interesting.

That is just silly.
I agree with you, how can you compete in pleasure and relaxation?
I miss sauna terribly here in the states. And steam bathes and Finnish bathes. We called it a Finnish Bath in Denmark when you stepped into ice cold water and under an ice cold bucket of water pouring over you after the sauna or steam.
I miss civilization.

Sorry guys, but I need your hugs and reassurance.
The past four weeks have been hell at work and the future looks like a repetition.
Some times I wonder if there is something insanely wrong with our world?
Are we being manipulated to habituate our selves to abuse?

You are my refuge. YOU. In here, on ATS I can find consolation.
It is sad but true.
I have no family here, and family is apparently crucial where I live.

I hope so. The ocean is very cathartic, you can enjoy it day and night ... the sound of a big surf at night is a great way to drift into sleep.

Some excellent fishing is at hand too. I used to drive about 10km down the beach at night to try and catch jewfish, ocean mullet and snapper among others.

Seeing great white sharks in the breakers made me re-think that practice as I used to wade in waist deep to cast out past the waves ! ...
