I will most certainly pray for the both of you. I’m not sure why, but I was under the assumption Mark was in a wheelchair, hence why you lug groceries up those flight of stairs on your own. I was certain you posted something about him being wheelchair bound. My memory is getting dry and brittle 😆... so my humble apologies for getting that screwed up.

Welcome to The Shed. I am not a morning person either. I need time and space. And some coffee and a cigarette. Preferably 2 coffees and 2 cigs but 1 will do at a push. I will nod or mumble "morning" at you but that's about all. I'm old and slow and grumpy until the caffeine and nicotine start to kick in...

BTW I don't think anyone here is a morning person other than Jacy. Then again it could be time zone differences that bring most here later in the day.

This is what I was trying ineffectually to say. It's due to timezones. Yes, that's it. I live in the wrong time zone, the sun rises way too early here. I am not really grumpy...

Yes at home he uses a wheelchair, but he has a prosthetic leg that he puts on when he goes out.

Ummm...what happened to Mark's leg if you don't mind me asking? Amputation due to diabetes or other medical problems?

He had a blood clot and wasn't getting enough blood flow in the area where he had a wound. Diabetics take longer to heal from wounds and can be quite dangerous as it is. It's ok to ask questions folks. I don't mind answering.

It is a glorious warm, sunny day and I have windows open to let in the fresh air. Beautiful!

My Dad was a diabetic. He wasn't allowed to clip his own toenails due to some kind of danger I never really understood but he used to have carers come and do it for him.

I applied for the "job" at the coffeeshop that doesn't sell coffee. I bet they are all laughing their asses of now.

Yeah, Mark has to be very careful. He also has high blood pressure that can sky rocket as well as his cholesterol. He has had a couple of mini strokes and his kidney's are at risk. An explosive combination of health issues. He almost died on me a few times. He hides any symptoms so well that it is hard to know sometimes when something is horribly wrong. I forced him at those times to go to the hospital. It's scary when Doctors back then said they couldn't believe he was still standing. Now he is being told that he could be heading for dialysis if things don't change.

He is really good with his diet and then wham! There are even some fruits and vegetables he has to limit because of potassium I think it is. he has to watch sodium, cholesterol, potassium, sugar, fruits and veggies. It's insane!


Waiting on test results to see how much blockage he has in some area. Sigh...always something.
