Oh you certainly have my sympathy dear friend!

I won't need wine to go with my movie. Good Lord, the prices of their snacks and drinks are outrageous!

Speaking of a shower which I don't have...I shall go take a soothing soak in my antique claw footed tub now.
Got my herbal soap and my scented bath salts ready.

I would love to soak in a bath. It's been 6 years since my last bath. I wasn't suggesting you buy the wine at the cinema. Drink or smoke before you go.

ETA I have smuggled a can or two of my own beer inside a cinema to reduce costs. Ahem....opens can quietly.

See my previous post. I possess nothing, I live in temporary housing for the last 6 years.

ETA There is a communal shower here I share with 6 other people.

I should avoid the religious topics. Tonight I failed. I didn't sin though.

Death and taxes. That's all we can expect.

Sin is a state of mind. Taxes are a state of illusion, or should I say, Disillusion.

Wow of all birds, you get a cardinal family! So beautiful! You make your stories so entertaining. LOL
Sorry to hear that one was lost, that is always sad. I have heard that it is a myth to not handle baby birds, so I don't see anything wrong in trying to give the toddlers a hand.

Would love to see pics if you have any!

I was hoping to get a picture of the remaining nestling this morning, but I'm pretty sure something ate it -- we found a teeny featherless wing & some tiny feathers on the ground near the bush this morning. It's a damned shame, they'd have been ready to start practicing flying shortly, they were about 2 weeks old . Cardinals kick out the babies from the nests at 3 weeks, I believe

Hello there! I'm glad that Light was here to keep you company for a bit. Folks show up at different hours of the day and night at the Shed.
Stop in again when you get the chance.

Awww, poor baby birdies!

I always thought it odd that living things would eat other living things. Hell, even plants are alive. Kind of cruel when you think about it, but we all have to survive.

I always found it odd as well, especially in the animal kingdom. Ravenous wolves for example, or a fox and the henhouse. Seems like such a predatory world and I don’t understand why a loving God would create life this way.

People who say animals are better than people haven’t paid enough attention on how cruel they can be. Take away a pets food source and see how they handle themselves.

I live here and moved in 4 years ago. We have our regulars and our lurkers and once in a while, especially when opening yet another Shed, we nab a noobie or two which is always wonderful. Some come and go. I realize it isn't for everyone, but I love the people in here so much!
And... it's an awesome place to be.

I had all sorts of questions as a child, and neither of my parents could answer them. I started asking God , and I got a few answers, but the animal kingdom and how it survives still remains a mystery to me.
