I remember as a child being in awe of everything and curious as a cat about the world around me. I was always sensitive and felt things very deeply. I would see a dead baby bird and think Noooo, whyyyy??? LOL

Well maybe it's none of your business but of course you can ask me anyway and i will answer. I have been seeing friends a lot, and when at home, i am mostly under a wet towel in my bed. Hot and humid again, and somehow i get a strange feeling if i drink water too much, but of course i have to drink it plenty.

Glad to see you too
we haven't had BBQ as much as we used to, and there are forest fire warnings everywhere, but we will do it eventually. I know Americans like to BBQ on independence day in July. Maybe we will BBQ on our independence day in december. It is only a matter of clothing and attitude.

How are things in the east coast of The United States? Do you like to swim in the ocean?

Hello to the night wanderers, I will join your ranks.
Can't sleep because my beloved lake gave me swimmers itch, not a very desirable condition. So I am bathing "it" in a vinegar sollution that provide a little relief. But my greatest concern after haveing done some sluething is that the parasite can take up camp in dogs.
Causing substantial damage with possible fatal out come.
Thirty six hours into the infestation. Vet for the dog in the morning and in the mean time I will count my blessings that it is limited to my arms and a few spots on the torso. All of which I can reach with my hands, which I will equip with cotton gloves when I return to bed. No more scraching.

This is so disapointing. There are two months left of the swimming season and now this. Yes, there are other lakes but none so close, two minutes from home, where I safely can haul my Rottie and unruly Beagle. The Rottie loves nothing more than wading in the water for hours. I swim with her or sit and read or saunter about with the "geriatric Beagle" while she does her thing. Crap.

Oh what a bummer, but at least you had some pleasure from their presence.
I must say I really enjoyed your account of the cardinals. You have such a pleasant fluid writing style, that captures detail with becoming repetitive. You always create vivid images.
Now I pondered your first description (why does my spell chech sieze to work?) of the chicks pushing each other out. Do you think a Cowbird could have laid an egg in the nest?

The are parasitical and their offspring will agressively rid the nest of other young.

Hello Fin, so nice to see you. I have noticed the weather conditions in northern Europe are a little "heated" are you in an affected area?
How do you keep the towel wet? I think I would have a spray bottle, or two to alternate, that I would put a little water in, freeze, fill with water and Magic, a cold mist.

I tend to differ.
I am both sharp and foolish.
Wasn't the jest much renowned at courts of old?

Thanks Boys for warning Gordi, but I have truly missed a little banter in here.

How's Down Under and the tale of the blue foot? Is your foot any better.

Well it is almost time to get up again, but now I have had a glass of wine that helps reduce the itching when I drink it, not applied to the skin.
, I can actually see the swelling reside. Perhaps if I keep drinking it will go away completely.

Hello Girl Friend, so odd to be here this time of day but it is nice to see you. I don't know how you manage to stay up all night and still function during the day.

This little piglit must be off to slumberville soon, wishing you and all a pleasant rest or a great day, depending on the tilt of the earth.

Unfortunately my foot is still inoperable. In response to your question about jesters, jesters and messengers often had the most temporary of positions. The King could be hasty and unkind sometimes.

Hey Fin, I hope all is well with you except for the heat. I have been doing my pantsdrunk thing today because wearing clothes is silly in 30 C and sitting alone I won't freak anyone out. (The pants are clean!) I don't get drunk any more though. I avoid drunkenness. I am not a fan of barbecues because I don't like sitting in the sun. Apparently some Dutch people also do the winter barbecue but damn, standing outside in the freezing cold sounds like torture too.

I love swimming around or floating around in the ocean! I rarely ever get there though. I'd be happy just to walk around the shore. Can't walk too far, but if I get sore, I can sit. When I do get to my friend Diane's, it's usually just an overnight stay and we do other things too. One time I went and it was way too chilly to swim. Last couple of times, it was raining. We still have a blast though.

I don't always function during the day. LOL
Half the time I walk around like a zombie then stay up all night into the morning hours.

Hope you get rid of the itch soon and that your dogs are ok.
I hate being itchy. Can't stand mosquitos or poison ivy! Man, I would scratch so hard I would make myself bleed. I would rather hurt than be insanely itchy.

Going to see the Christopher Robin movie later. I'm so excited, like a little kid!

Sorry about the stale donuts. I was hungry last night and ate all the fresh ones. The pixies didn't have time to make fresh ones yet.

Wis doesn't drool, that was Jacy.

Funny vid!

I don't like sitting out in the heat either, but I have been to barbecues for as long as I could stand it and find shade.

Should be another hot one here today. It's the humidity that makes it so unbearable. Hot and humid is horrible!!!!!!
I see thunderstorms for tonight. Hope they don't last long. I hate getting off the computer.

We have a few crazies around here who will barbecue in the winter too. LOL

edit on 3-8-2018 by Night Star because: (no reason given)
