Cue the "Ancient Gordi" true story:
My real surname doesn't have it's own "clan" tartan, but we were associated with many clans - so I got to choose from quite a big selection of tartans when I got my current Kilt made.
I was flicking through their tartan samples book... looking for an "earthy" brown one and saw "The One" that I wanted, before looking at the name on the back which said...

"Ancient Weathered Gordon"!!!!!!

So, I just thought... "That'll Do for Me!!" (Ancient Indeed!)

Aww, I love chicken!

I took a picture outside my office this morning. It has been raining in middle Tennessee for what seems like weeks. The geese are loving it though.



A little worried about my garden. It does drain well but...how much rain can the little plants take?

Hi Chirp! We've had a fair amount of rain on the prairie this spring, but not an excessive amount. The local fields are all saturated though, since at the end of winter we got dumped on a few times and all the snowmelt made for a very moist spring.

Lots of geese and swans - and even a few pelicans!!! - enjoying swims amongst the corn and soybean fields in Minnesota.

Good Morning one and all! I will be going out later and won't be home until this evening. Hope you are all in fine fettle. Did I say that right?

What could possibly go wrong? Well, if you guys are partying, I will want to join, but I won't be here.

Hot and humid here. By the temps you wouldn't think so. Must be me.

I sure wish our lurkers would stop lurking and come in and at least say hello. I think we may have closet Sheddites. Ya know, they don't want anyone to know they follow us weirdos. LOL
