They are the future voters. You obviously have not been listening. These kids are smart and articulate and they have a strong message. It's their own voices and their own experiences. They have stared down the barrel of a rifle meant to take their lives away while taking a calculus test. Jesus give them some credit.
Lol. And just what are their articulate arguments?

Background checks? Already in place.

Mental health lists? Already in place.

Banning guns? Not gonna happen. And should not happen.

Really? Were you planning on shooting up a school full of kids? Should we say something? Your life your rights . Me me me.
Scoffs.
If you can point at anything I said that would give you that impression, I will self impose a one-week suspension on myself. Otherwise you’re just making # up.

Not that I ever took you seriously before but that was some stupid bull#.

Them old age pensioners remember when they didn't have to ask the states permission to buy a firearm.

Since it was created under the CLinton administration.

How did people ever survive until the FASCISTS came along telling them they should be disarmed?

Didn't we call that the Wild West? You've had your time and a fine job the last generation made of it too war/debt/crime repeat, time to try something new!

Try something new?

How about reading existing laws?

National Firearms Act of 1934.

Gun Control Act of 1968.

Fire Owners Protection Act of 1986.

Gun Free school Zones Act of 1990.

Brady Handgun Prevention Act of 1993.

It's pretty effing clear those that are calling for more gun control hasn't even bothered to read existing law.

That's much too hard. Nor is it flashy enough for their controllers who are, when all is said and done, only after results in the next mid-terms.

I've asked this on a number of occasions, too. Doing something about bullying of their fellow peers would actually accomplish something. Standing up to bullies, and saying no either figuratively, or if absolutely necessary, literally. Marching against my right to own firearms isn't going to solve a blasted thing.

"The more things change, the more they stay the same." Hiding behind the advance of technology is lazy. We are still human.

The issue here was the parroting of these young people and how do you respond? With an old hackneyed cliche. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Who said that and what does it mean. It's a pile of crap if you ask me. Does it mean that the more things (seem) to change when in reality they really never do? Bosh. It simply is not true. The more and faster things change, the more we become seperated, the more our generation s become alienated from one another.

If you would like to convince me you are right you will have do do better than quoting an old and tired cliche. And what do you mean when you say hiding behind the advance of technology is lazy? Who's hiding here. Because you see that nothing changes as your cliche suggests, I can understand that you might think that advancing technology is a feeble concept upon which to consider the ''apparent' changes in society. But that is simply not true either.

People are not just people. People are products of environmental processes. We change and morph depending upon our societies and cultures.

You,me and 300 million other Americans have been judged, juried, and sentenced in the Kangaroo courts of public opinion.

Take the guns, and forget about due process.

They've one upped Trump.

Pretty sure his/her plan is complete Socialism/Communism...you know, where we that actually work have to fully support him/her and their peers while they hold protests to tell us why we shouldn’t be free and have to do what they say...in America, of all places.

At least in the "Wild West" those who shown by their behavior to be a threat to society and committed crimes against fellow humans, they were tried and if found guilty of murder were hung by their neck until dead??? Not like in todays society where we have to evaluate their upbringing and release them back into society if they are not white?

Pffffft, perhaps in your delusional world we should force those who work for a living to pay higher taxes to assure these criminals are treated fairly and live comfortably until they die of natural causes locked up in their cell?

I myself WELCOME the days of the WILD WILD WEST!

These young people need to recognize that our 2A is not the cause. Guard your 2A like treasure.

Americans once had the right to own slaves.

Then common sense prevailed and that right was taken away. The same will eventually happen with the right to own arms.

It may take awhile, but it will happen.

There will be bloodshed before that happens

Who ya gonna shoot? How will you identify the enemy?

Anyone that tries to disarm me and my fellow citizens or commit acts of tyranny.

I will defend the constitution/bill of rights against all enemies foreign or domestic.

To the last bullet, to the last man.

LOl! Maybe you can get a job with Alex jones and the other drama queens. LOL! Did you have a silent tear as you said "to the last bullet", or were you screaming it while gasping for breath?

Good God man, get a hold on yourself, it's so ridiculous for people to say they can't live without a gun.

You know what we need to survive?

Clean water, clean air and fertile soil.. and you wax all desperate over a piece of paper with writing on it.
Not much of a thinker, I take it.

I can't argue.

Neither can they.

Firearm ownership law in the People's Republic of China heavily regulates the ownership of firearms. Generally, private citizens are not allowed to possess firearms.

Yes, because you know, the feminist movement hasn’t been a hot topic over last 6-8 months...oh, wait! Believe the hashtag (which wasn’t even a word in the 50’s) is #metoo? Please try and keep up!

In the old west someone convicted of a crime had their guns returned to them after the sentence was up.

It was not until 1968 did they lose that right entirely.

Sure hope a majority of Americans are aware Hitler tried disarming the Jews before trying to exterminate them. Makes for a very potent lesson. Unfortunately I don’t think they teach much actual history in schools anymore, and haven’t for decades...

Here are a couple of suggestions for those that still want to play with guns.

Join a Shooting Club. The firearms are owned by the Shooting Club and have to be handed back in when leaving.

For those who want to shoot wildlife. Do so in a National Park where the Park Superintendent hands and and then collects firearms on arriving and leaving.

I'm not sure how the purposeful manipulation of kids by celebrities and those with political agenda's, too young to have an informed view on any topic of importance, is helpful or anything other than what it appears to be. Partisans using children because they are easy to manipulate.

The author of this article is blind to it, or in on it.

most visible show of force by a student-led political movement born in the wake of a deadly school shooting in Parkland, Fla

In direct contradiction to the above...

the D.C. march was bankrolled by left-leaning celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and George and Amal Clooney, students who survived the Parkland shooting have been its faces

They are "faces" worn by the real people behind all of this. This is not their doing, it's been carefully choreographed from the start.

Whether you are pro or anti 2nd Amendment, this should bother you. Does it?
