Now if this were done even a week ago it would be different but at such a late hour only shows that it is part of the show.

Or it shows that Sessions was waiting for a recommendation from OPR, which just came out on Wednesday. If he fired him before having such a recommendation, then it would look political.

Funny how "the good people in the fbi will do the work of the people".....except when they recommend to fire comey or mccabe.....

So what, Karma is coming back to bite McCabe. Bleed the man dry of his money! An example to the rest of the FBI that is still embroiled in corruption to stop it or lose all.

Only the little fish will squeal in court about the big fish, so the little fish gets off the hook a little easier.

Yup. Media and Democrats will just pretend Sessions fired him in a vacuum. When the only angle you have is to lie to people, you're on the wrong side. I can't believe people fall for that #.

lets be clear i am not speaking of the legalities but the optics.

this admin has a giant problem with tact

much sympathy can be gained from poor optics in a court room combine that with a sympathies judge and bam charges dropped.

like i said if he was fired when this info first hit the desk f sessions then cut and dry but since it got sat on that brings up many problems.

This was just a red meat sandwich for the masses

yall eat it up

perhaps someday freedom, law and order will give birth to a new nation but we aint pregnant yet

This IS the birth of freedom. You just can't see it through those political colored glasses.

It got "sat on" for two whole days. You don't think it's okay for Sessions to put a lot of thought into making such a consequential decision once he was presented the information from OPR? Wouldn't it look more political if he just fired him immediately, making it look like he already had his mind made up no matter what OPR said?

As thepixelpusher said take off the glasses bud. This is the right way to fire someone. You develop substantial documentation from unbiased sources (OPR) and make a decision.

ETA: The optics were gonna be bad to devout Trump haters no matter what they did.

They "knew" in the sense that that's what was generally believed on that side of the aisle. If you're suggesting that was enough for Sessions to fire him, aren't you advocating exactly what you're purporting to be against? Waiting for a review to be completed from an unbiased source was the right thing to do.

Everything was by the book. It's sad you can't see that.

Optics, be damned!

They had to wait until the OIG investigation had reached a certain point. All "i's" had to be dotted and all "t's" had to be crossed. It was simply TIME. The evidence became indisputable.

In this hyper politicized climate, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. So, just do what is right when it is right to do it and forget "optics".

McCabe willing inserted himself into the political maelstrom the same as Page and Strozak. Giving their ideology top billing over rule of law and allowing their positions to corrupt the political process. So, they deserve whatever blowback legally they get. They did this of free will over the interest of the people. They should have to deal with their decision, but I'm guessing George Soros will bail them out legally. Here's to hoping George Soros has no money to bail them out.

I'll take a guess and say we'll see more of these threads of illegal actions by Dems featured in threads on ATS. And the usual ATS trolls will come to defend the Dems no matter what they did.

hmmm

i see loopholes formed in order to meet timelines simply so they could vindictively try to keep his funds.

my point is that haste makes waste in many cases

That fact cannot be stated often enough. It was pointed out on this past Thursday that the internal FBI Watchdog recommended firing McCabe immediately.

Yet the liberal MSM and jerks in the Democratic party would had you believe that it is someone just trying to stick a knife in McCabe's back. Not that he doesn't deserve that...

this

doesnt exactly square with this as it was the fbi themselves that recommended mccabe be fired

What is comical to me is you refer to this as red meat when in reality is it simply a government entity policing themselves...which we need ALOT more of
