Return of Christ

He is my Lord and savior! I know he will return. I have faith. I know it will be a tough road to follow him, to tell people of him. The bible does say, the earth will go through pains like a pregnant woman. And I believe we are going through this now. I believe all the things we are seeing on the news now is us fighting against brother and brother, sister against sister. You are all my brothers and sisters here on ATS and I love you all.

I just wanted to isolate these statements, to express my concerns with the state of mind of some religious people.

Isn't that exactly what this reality/existence was designed for?

I look at stories of the light bringer and they seem kind of funny in a way. Right from the very beginning, 'Evil' was offering us knowledge and the 'Good' damned us to eternity for seeking it. I mean, that is exactly the structure that continues today. Do you ever question why? Why does everything mainstream religion/science appear to be 180 degrees from the truth?

I fully expect to have eternal life WITHOUT JESUS. Indeed, hanging out in the Heaven as portrayed by Christians sounds as appealing as being stuck on the Scientology boat with that bunch of weirdos. Science hasn't quite caught up to this yet, but I believe they will eventually. "Heaven" to me is a place devoid of Christians and other delusional cults.

I never said this was it. I said I believe this is the last generation before Christs return. No man know the hour or the day, not even the Angels in heaven.

What's the commission structure for souls you've saved?

Extra tickets on the cloud water slide? Or more tokens go the intergalactic arcade?

Either way you can just earn shmeckles for those things once you get there.... No need spending all your time converting here.

I must say, I've always found it hilarious that the religious think that otherwise good people, will burn forever, just for not believing what they believe.

That mentality has always kept me away from religion.

Question:

Does He or does He NOT forgive all His children?

If I don't believe in his existence or doings, am I still one of His children?

I assume God created all of us *IF HE IS REAL* so then wouldn't we all be forgiven if we ask for it?

I can tell you what has kept you from religion, you want to do what you want without any repercussions of your actions. You are saved by God's grace and by Jesus Christ sacrifice on the cross. He tooks the worlds sins, Gods wrath and paid for them for us. All we need to do is have faith and trust in Christ. Your sins are paid for, ALL. we can't be good all the time, we all sinners, we all fall short from the glory of God. But through Christ we are saved. You can NEVER loose your salvation, you cannot be perfect, thats the reasoning behing of why Christ died for our sins.

And for the record, many people "accepting God's forgiveness", are just hiding from the terrible things they've done in their lives.

How is that different than the idea of all sins are forgiven and you get eternal life as long as someone dunks you in water?

Some agnostics/atheists believe we have to come to atone with our decisions here on earth. Some would argue it makes us think twice before we act.

He forgives all his children. All he asks for you to do is accept that Christ is lord and savior and he died for your sins and mine. No matter if you make a mistake now, tomorrow, or 20 years down the road, they have been paid for. You can never loose your spot in heaven. That is Gods promise. God had to come to earth as a man, Jesus was God in the flesh. The holly trinity. The father, son, and holly spirit.
