Return of Christ

I hear on the news, with all the shootings, cop killings, earthquakes, christians overseas being wiped out and Christianity being eroded away in the united states, we, I believe we are nearing the return Of Christ. And I am very excited! I know I will be going to heaven. Jesus Christ is my lord and savior and yours. I cannot nor can anyone else save themselves.
We are closer now then we were years ago. This is, to me the last generation and a very lucky generation to see his return. I want to spread the good word. The best is John 3:16. I know I will be ridiculed by some, but it is ok. It is a choice for all to accept Christ as savior or mock me about it. Jesus did say, it would be a tough road if you follow him.
Just me rambeling, and I am not going to ask to be easy with me. Say what you want or how you want. Your tongue is the sharpest sword on you.

I wish they would just get here and get it over with already. Then when they take all of the religious up to heaven, peace and quiet will settle across the land like a great soft and warm blanket, comforting the remaining people that are left.

could be good times or bad times for the saved. guess it kinda depends on if there is a pretrib rapture or not. but any who mock you for speaking of jesus will only bank more treasures for you in heaven according to the good book.

i think you got it backwards. you will be stuck with all the false teachers of the word. you will be stuck with exactly what you think you will be getting rid of. have fun with it man, it only gets worse.

There are signs that could certainly be interpreted as leading to the last days... but keep in mind people have been thinking this for ... well, about 2000 years. And there are have certainly been times in history where the end seemed more imminent than now (black plague, WWII, etc.) Every generation of Christians seems convinced they are living on the cusp of the end times. Yes, of course, It could be true with our generation. But I honestly think there is nothing remarkable happening right now compared to what has happened in the last 2000 years in terms of signs of the end being near.

I don't think about it too much because no one knows the day. So try not to worry too much about it (not that you sound worried). In the meantime, do everything you can to bring a taste of the kingdom of heaven here to earth, love your neighbor, pray for your enemies, take care of the poor and the hurting... You'll see Jesus when He's good and ready for you.

Those things you listed as signs of his return? They've been happening for thousands of years which is exactly why every generation believes they will see it happen.

Every single generation has said the same exact thing. Every. Single. One.

Might be one of the reasons things haven't gotten any better, because people believe all this bad stuff happening is a good thing since it heralds his return, so they sit on their hands waiting for things to be fixed for them. While they do that things have snowballed out of control.

Yes, Jesus is just waiting for the 'A-O-K' and the people who are believers? We'll be resurrected.

I wish people would even give Jesus a chance - just a chance - and learn the truth. Most would rather stick their fingers in their ears and scream to babbling 'I can't hear you, I can't hear you!'...

What's sad is a belief that things will be fixed for us instead of us doing the fixing ourselves. The longer we wait the worse things will get. We're seeing what all that waiting has accomplished over the past 2,000 years, nothing except to facilitate those who wish to control us and destroy our planet for profit.

How much longer will we wait before we take action? No point in taking action if he'll be back "soon", right? That's what people have said for 2,000 years now.

Man I can see it now. This vision is getting better and better. Maybe we could actually try a world without religion. Where people take full responsibility for their own actions and destiny. Where they aren't afraid of all the made up sins and controlling BS, but finally realize they are free to live their life.

People start respecting one another because they realize that is the only way to free will and self determination, that everyone needs to respect the free will of others. Without that, we are no better off than we were before the rapture. Mankind can finally discover and explore their true spirituality without it being corrupted by organizations that want to control and profit off of the ignorance of others.

Governments and corporations that are shamed out of existence by not following the true path. No violence necessary, just a firm rejection by the citizens.

Paradise. Win win for everyone. Those who don't enjoy free will and self sufficiency will also be in their happy place, in heaven, free from original thought and action. No more entropy for them or discord as they prance through the fields of monotony and stagnation. Where nothing changes and everything is fully predictable. I wonder if the people that stayed on this wonderful material realm will allow the religious back into our reality once they bore of the never changing? Maybe we will charge for simple viewing rights but never allow participation again.

I don't know and I am starting to rethink my wanting them to get off of their knees to help out. Would you really want that type of participation? I think we have seen in the past what type of actions they tend to prefer.

Yeah, an "eternity" sounds like an awfully long time to be stuck inside my own head. The appeal of existing that long must be lost on me.

They better be extremely well stocked with beer and Wild Turkey in heaven, if they expect me to do it for an eternity.
