Good grief, a flip through the media and you'd think the FL shooting by this monster was the only news which had happened in the past year! And this is hardly the case!

Isn't it somewhat curious that this news story has all but completely consumed the media coverage of just about anything else? Right about the same time the other shoe was going to drop on the FBI/Russia-Gate thing (whammo) the FL shooting happens and all the spotlights turn over there. A little convenient isn't it?

Now, I am not suggesting in any way that the tragic incident in FL was any type of an intentional diversion, but it sure does happen to be a convenient one (for the media anyway)!

So, while everyone else is wringing their hands and gnashing their teeth figuring out what to "ban" next...what's happening in the rest of the world? What's happening on the FBI corruption front? Where's Hillary? Where are the memos? What's going on?

Bottom line; look how quickly the media dropped that whole narrative like a hot rock to eagerly salivate over blood-lust somewhere else...anywhere else! Anything to change the focal point of the spotlight!

there is still a little room to talk about who Trump screwed in the past. (porn star and now a playboy centerfold)
Tiger Woods could take a few pointers from Trump.

Right. Those ridiculous kids, getting shot to hell just to carry water for the media.

It's literally been 2 days. The media has been covering it for 2 days lol. These things usually air for weeks. Not to mention any follow up story's or new developments.

Nobody is talking about the kids, they forgot about them over a day ago! They're old news. (tragically) They're all busy just sniping one another on party lines now! The kids were forgotten long ago, now all the media coverage is about agendas, posturing, blaming people and trying to one up each other. Flip on the news, or the interwebz.

Don't play the fool and grandstand! You're smarter than that!

edit...the media is just "using" those poor children now to sell their story, to sell their advertisements and their narrative! They're USING them!

It's disgusting and pathetic!

Yeah i'm going to have to join the majority of other posters on this one...

Don't get me wrong, I despise the media as much as anyone else... but this is kind of a major story. Kids dying in a High School SHOULD be front page news. It's ONLY been 2 days now. If two weeks from now we are still going on about this ONLY and ignoring other stories, then you might have a leg to stand on. However at the moment... #toosoon

That statement is ridiculous. It's been 2 days. The only person that seems to have forgot there was a shooting was you You literally called for them to drop the story after 2 days.... but they forgot they children? YOU forgot the children while you were worried about Hillary.

If you say so Captain. Just watched them put the victim's photos and bios up on the local channel.

Don't you fret though, your desired political scandal will resurface in short order to please you so you don't have to worry about this Florida shooting.

BTW...I'm not suggesting it shouldn't be in the news, not at all!!

What I am suggesting is...there is also other news which is out there and needs to be reported. As it stands, this discussion is eclipsing everything. And, it's being done at those children's expense (to sell ads). No matter how you frame it...that's WRONG!

It's a tragedy. Period. Nothing further needs to be said.

I don't think anyone but a few people with heart care about these kids. All anyone on the left seems to talk about are the guns. And all anyone on the right seems to want to talk about is anything but the guns. Well how about this? how about you have armed guards at Banks trains sporting events and every other manner of location that you want to protect.
But for some reason schools which for some reason have become a favorite Target for crazy people are gun free zones. Because the sign will stop a crazy person period every time. I guarantee you unemployed veterans would guard schools with big guns for minimum wage. Any school shooter or false flag school shooter up against a former Special Forces Meathead with a big gun would be stopped rather quickly. But no a school is a gun-free zone a soft target an easy target because it is politically advantageous for one side to keep having children killed in this manner.

All major media outlets charge adevertisers for their airtime, it isn't like when the conversation reverts back to all Trump all the time they are gonna throw everyone a freebie. Talk about feigned moral outrage.

Sure there is. People care about the families involved. Some may want to find out more and see if they can donate to those families. People may want to discuss how to prevent these in the future. and Yes that probably means the left well go "No more guns!" and the right will say "more guns!" but so what? If we are talking about preventing tragedies like this, it's a discussion that SHOULD be had, regardless of your political leaning.

We may want to discuss the shooter, and his mental abilities, and see if perhaps there may be something along those lines, again to prevent in the future. We may want to talk about the school itself, and the area. Perhaps something about the area made this more likely? We may want to talk about the school and the community in ways to help them grieve. It really does go on and on, and 2 days is not nearly enough time to discuss all of this.

There is NOT enough said, in the slightest.

Your comment sums up my feelings on this as well- I will also add that like the OP I have a lot of disdain for how the MSM profits from these events.

That other discussion; Hilary, memeos, FBI corruption etc had been going on for months now.

It’s not like it’s being ignored there is just a bigger more immediate news story just now about those kids being shot.

I get what you the media is very selective about it’s reporting I just disagree with you in this regard it’s only been two days.

On the same day there was a bombing at a carnival in Bolivia, 4 dead, remind me how much coverage did that get??

AND...it gets endless media coverage!

Maybe, if there wasn't so much glorification of these events they might not be as attractive for some twisted monster to go wreak havoc upon by murdering people because he knows his name is going to be plastered over every-single-news-channel-in-this-country-24x7! Talk about instant fame! All for what? To sell a Verizon ad, some pharmaceutical company drug and some car insurance!

Yeah.
