Ok... here’s my continuation of the River, Jack, and Sheye storyline.

You may or may not want to listen to a bit of this soundtrack as you read. 😏

Jack looked over at River , who was bent over Riverbabe as they carefully selected the most beautiful colors of the finest and highest quality of stained glass. Riverbabe was learning much in the Shedlands, as were Jack and River, Jack thought to himself .

It had been a good while since they had walked through the forest to get to the heart of the Shedlands. The pixie had guided their way, and with her effervescent personality, had quickly charmed Riverbabe. The young child had giggled with delight almost non stop as the pixie sang sweet little pixie songs into her ear. Jack smiled to himself thinking of the Troll who had followed them, as he had walked deeper in the forest. When Riverbabe giggled in delight, Jack had heard the Troll murmur “It is good”. He had realized that the troll had bonded deeply with Riverbabe because of her taking the thorn out of its foot. In an oddly satisfying way, Jack was not concerned with this bond , as deep in his heart he felt that the troll would protect her from harm, if ever the need should arise when Jack couldn’t. Riverbabe had named the Troll ‘monster boy’...and would lovingly leave food out for him, behind their beautiful little stained glass cottage in the Shedlands. The little pixie who had guided their way from the cave, was lovingly referred to as ‘flutterby’, by the young child as well.

Jack sighed with happiness, and River turned in his direction, locking eyes with the man who had shown them nothing but love, protection and Joy these last months. She was secretly thrilled with the new Jack, or should she say the old Jack she had once fallen in love with years ago.Together they had learned so much in the Shedlands, and it was inspiring to meet so many souls willing to share their knowledge of fine craftsmanship in so many ways. While River was taking the time to learn the art of stained glass, Jack was busy learning the craftsmanship of making beautiful,unique musical instruments. He had a rare gift for finding the rarest of woods in the forest, and an interesting way of blending different sounds. Because each piece was unique and therefore rare, they were in high demand all over the lands of Accasia.She smiled as she recalled that look of accomplishment on Jack’s face as he had finished his first, and how much he loved making these rare , one of a kind instruments.

As Jack and River exchanged their knowing looks.. their cottage chimes were rung. It was Sheye, who seemed out of breath.

“What’s the matter my dear friend Sheye? “ asked River. “I’ve never seen you so out of breath”. Sheye just looked deep into River’s eyes and said with great concern, “I’ve come to warn you..there are rumblings in the village of impending danger” . River’s heart skipped a beat. In all the months they had been here, there had only been the sharing of knowledge, craftsmanship, and of course joy, as they had enjoyed the fruits of their labour together. Now this ? For the first time since arriving into the heart of the Shedlands, River felt unsure and panicked about their choice to come here.

I’ve never been a fan of the Rocky Horror Picture Show myself. Knew some people who were all into it with the dressing up and stuff, but it just wasn’t my thing.

How are you today Night ? We are getting a bad snow storm with high winds tomorrow ( actually starting tonight)... so I went out with my son today to get groceries and stock up on things, in case I don’t want to leave my place for a few days.

Hope your day is going well and you had enough sleep. You’re like me in that way.. get a second wind late at night and it’s difficult to shut down the brain to sleep.

Very relaxing day here. Thanks for asking! It has been raining and very windy all day. Good idea for you not to go out unless you have to Sheye. Yes, that second wind at night where the mind acts like the energizer bunny and just keeps going and going and going. lol

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement Blue..my grammar is lousy and my creative writing skills are fairly dull, not to mention my limited vocabulary. I had more descriptive stuff to write about their walk from the woods to the Shed, as well as adding more description on how they all played music together on these wonderful instruments, but .. but.. I would have ended going on forever until Sheye got there. Lol

Thanks for your patience with me, as I hopefully develop a better style.🙂

Lights flickered again. In case I disappear for too long, you'll know why.
