Thank God I am not alone in pondering this contradiction.

Missed you too Chels! Yes, it is too easy to isolate ourselves when we feel crummy, and nope...it doesn't help. Best to come here and hang out with the beautiful and crazy (in a nice way) kind of people. It has helped me more times than you know.

All our lives are like a story unfolding... some chapters make you smile, some are enchanting, some are sorrowful, but we never know what tomorrow may bring. So...lay on the comfy couch by the fire and breathe deep. Know that you are safe here and the outside world does not exist...at least for now.

Since yesterday morning i have just spent time by myself at home. I need that right now, monday, tuesday and wednesday were very active, lots of walking to places and seeing people and cats. I made a rough estimate with google maps, that i walked around 20 kilometers or 12 miles when tuesday and wednesday are combined. I could have used the bus but didn't want to. It is real winter now. Not like that grey, slippery and windy crap like so far it had been, and last winter almost completely. The temperatures have been around -25 celsius at night and -15 celsius by day. That means from -13 fahrenheit to 5 fahrenheit. Everything is just fresh, white and plenty of sun also, days are getting longer. I have had my sunglasses on some days.

Here is something that i find calm and beautiful. Sarah Bettens is the lead singer of K's Choice.

She arched her slender back and splashed her fins in the cool dark waters. Beneath the enchanting moonlight she prayed to her Gods. Many times she sat upon boulders near to the shore and observed the comings and going of men, magical beings and beasts. She had noticed lately that something wasn't right.

She was met with saddened faces and frightened eyes. Just the other day, the lovely mermaid found the courage to ask a human what was wrong. The tall, sandy haired man was swimming close by. He climbed the slippery, moss covered boulder and sat beside her, his long hair driipping down his wet, taut body. His voice was soft. He dare not speak loud, lest the evil hear him and come to take him away. "Something has been amiss in the village as of late." He looked down to collect his thoughts. "We...we, do not know what is happening. We have all had the same forboding of the deepest evil... unimaginable and powerfully frightening. Sometimes there is a dark mist and forms that seem to move in the shadows, watching and waiting."

The mermaid could still hear the fear in his voice from that day. Usually the merfolk did not interfere in the lives of the inhabitants of the Shedlands, but she always longed to know more about them and wished she could walk and explore their world. She feared for them as well as her own people, for if the evil presence invaded the villages, surely it could invade the sea. Long blond hair whipped behind her in the wind as she called to the powers that be, hoping for an answer.

😏... and here I thought the Shed was a place to escape the evils of the world. Seems to be all sorts of evil lurking in Accasia as well 🤔.

Don’t mind me carry on with your fantasy writing. It is beautifully written, but it just doesn’t bring that “ safe” feeling for me.😆... I guess I’ll just continue trying to fight real evil in the real world. Prayer and love work wonders.. makes one wonder if it would work in the storylines. I may have to add a story myself.
