Night took a step and tried to steady herself after the pixies drinks. Pesky raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure you can do this? Face all
those people? I mean, you had pixie drinks and you know how they affect you. You might screw everything up. Don't You have any Elven spells to sober
you up a bit? Do you..." The Elven Warrior held her hand up. "Stop! just stop Pesky! I have enough to deal with without your rapid fire of comments
and questions." Pesky rolled her eyes. "Alrighty then, let's face the overflowing hall of frantic people in your condition. Yep, let's do that." Night
gave 'the look' and the pixie shut up.
Before she took another step, she heard the voice of Hugo telepathically. "Night, Wolf and I have been to the dragon keep and there was no sign of
Syx, but we found Storm and he will be leading the other dragons in battle until Syx shows up. We have also searched for Rider and his Sister dragons,
but they too are nowhere to be found. I'm sure they have heard the rumors of war of maybe had an encounter with the dark beings, I don't know."
Night sighed deeply and connected with her companions in her mind. "Hugo, find your brethren and ready them for war. Wolf, find Shadow and follow his
lead. Storm, you must lead the other dragons, I have complete faith in you, in all of you and I...she held back the tears. I love you all, always have
and always will."
She stepped into the dimly lit spaces that led to the great hall, took a deep breath and entered the room. The Elf was met with a cacophony of voices.
When they noticed her, their voices rose even higher. It was maddening. She loved these people, wanted their sacred peaceful space in the realm
protected and safe.
Sunlight streamed through the arched, stained glass windows surrounding the beautiful hall. Marble pillars stood tall, a testament of antiquity and
strength. Night squeezed through the unsettled crowd to reach the front. All eyes were focused on the Elven warrior. Some were wide eyed with fear,
some filled with tears and fright and others brave and determined, ready for whatever may come their way.
