Hello WIS. I see you have a new avatar..

Yes I alter it frequently to express my mood as I have now. But the core is the same as it has been for thirteen years here.
Many are the apparitions a true living being displays.

Good Lord, what realm did I just jump into? What are all these cryptic code message thingies? Now I need another kind of dictionary. Goes off to find the secret library of secrets.

Hello everyone!

Nice teeth. I think your wolf is furry & cute, I'm gonna tickle behind the ears... first!

Did we scare Jughead away?? Not my intention.
I was just messing around. Sorry if I messed things up.
Just needed a giggle or two.

Jughead, welcome to the good ship sheddy.
These are good people. Treat them well and you will have friends for life.

Hiya Joe. Having a good evening here. I guess if you call filling out a bunch of medical papers a good time. Going to a Rheumatologist tomorrow about back issues. Not looking forward to it , but it’s got to be done.

Have you suffered any back injuries involved with moving heavy furniture? I really hurt one of my discs moving, and I’ve been told nothing can make it better...not even surgery.😕 Back pain really effects my quality of life.

I don't wish chronic pain on anyone! My psychic fair was extremely painful, but It had been so long since I had so much fun, I pushed myself. It's the same when I sleep over one of my best friend's house out near the ocean. We have to take frequent sit down breaks when we are out shopping at all the quaint little shops. We did find one plaza where there were benches in between almost every shop. My family and friends are so supportive and don't mind sitting with me on a bench or in the car while I take a break. I wish you luck with your Doctor's visit. Do keep us posted on that.

Thanks Night... I know you understand, and my admiration for your perseverance in still getting out there is huge.

I can't pinpoint the cause of my injury..

I've tried..

I used to play for 6 different soccer teams a year as a goalkeeper..2 teams in the fall, club and premier.two indoor teams I Dr the winter, and two in the fall..

Lots of intentionally jumping into the ground..indoor was the worst..sometimes we would have tournaments on basketball courts..imagine diving into those hardwoods floors on purpose..

I also was in three major car accidents in my late teens. on collision with a school bus, head on collision with a pickup, and one really nasty one that involved a telephone pole a fire hydrant and a parked van, that was pushed 8 feet into a garage knocking it off its foundation..i That could not have helped..

For the record , each accident I was a passenger in different peoples cars..

And last but not least manual labor jobs. Moving furniture is not easy on the body.. think about the hassle of moving from one house to another..It's a lot of work.. then get up and do it 70hours a week for 5 or six years..

My problem is a lesion on my spinal cord. The vertebrae were rubbing into it and fraying it like a rope..
The fusion I had done keeps them from doing that..

So while my situation isn't better it's not getting worse..

I'm not sure I answered your question..lol. Sry for rambling..

Respectfully,
~meathead

You answered the question just fine.

I’m sorry your body has had to endure so much... but thank God you’re still around to tell us the stories !

The Shed without your warm witty humour and genuine affection wouldn’t be the same.

I worked in factories most of my life which was fast paced with a lot of bending and lifting, twisting and turning. I was once hit as a pedestrian by a mini van and I have spinal stenosis stage 2 as well as other spinal problems and arthritis.

Glad you aren't getting worse at least.

I smile at the weirdness going on in the Shed today.
For me, not to many things to smile about. I laid in bed for about one hour this morning which counted as my sleep for last night. As my cats and myself were hungry around 11am I had to hobble into the kitchen to feed the three of us as mommy dearest has been getting up later and later each day. The walk into the kitchen wasn't too bad. It was the return to my room that was uphill for me. The more I stand the more my foot swells. All I can do is just deal with it as it will heal one of these days.

I was down in the basement today cleaning out Mr. Suzies litter box and saw two pairs of crutches in our storage and immediately thought of you.
(Because of the crutches..not the cat poo
)
I wish I lived closer I'd come drop them off and take you out of the house a bit .(again,I'm talking about the crutches, Not the cat poo)

Yes, the crutches would be of more need than the cat poo. I have two poo producers already. Last night I switched to a more practical walker to us to get around with. It's just a traditional walker which fits me better than the smaller one with wheels, seat, and hand breaks that is more like pushing a lawnmower than what it's intended use is.
