Personally, I think people expect too much of these guys. And America is not the be all and end all of research, just the loudest.

When Aussie military folk start turning up at beaches to check out strange light shows off the south west coast of western australia, well ya gotta suspect they know stuff they're not gonna tell anyone about. The locals down south know about that stuff going on.

Are science and intellect the right tools for the job?

Those thunderstorms and light shows are a bit beyond science and those intelligences are a bit beyond intellect. The ones that know probably feel rather insignificant in the face of it all.

So balloons, hotdogs, t-shirts and reality TV shows might be the best they can do.

Try not to expect too much from them. MM is probably right to throw popcorn at the bad acting and lame scripting. At least he doesn't take them too seriously.

Yet TDL did say he had a "lifeform". I don't recall him saying it was a living lifeform. So maybe a frozen popsicle from Antarctica or roadkill from a mishap.

Not much to work with is it?

Hmmm, well everyone has the right to wonder what that thing is in the sky. Governments have their own thoughts and do things their way.

The gang at TTSA also have their own agenda and want to shift things in their favour just like everyone else. Hell, I have my own agenda too. I make friends and collect (conscious) technology for reasons of my own. They have a stake in living on this planet too.

It's the nature of things. Everyone wants to live and have a future.

Yeah, he seems to be taking an Ancient Alien trope, from the negative perspective and the nonsense when those AA ' theorists" claim the aliens created everything from the pyramids to robots. TDL seems to also blame aliens for the folly of human wars.
