Even though we may not always agree on things like political ideology, that has exactly zero to do with how I feel about the fellow man personally. Things like honesty and character mean far more to me than ideology ever will. One of my greatest hopes in life is that this mantra always shines through in anything i do or say. I have always strived to be very clear on this and I hope it shows.

In the end, it will be our only truly common ground, our only hope for survival...all of us.

You are one the great and a big contributor to the quality of ATS that I have always appreciated so much.

Before the mudpit made it's arrival on ATS, manners and decorum used to be a big deal. You are one of the members who still keeps this virtue high. Keep on being you!!!

Hi OMC! Hope all is good with you! Are you still doing avatars? I finally got a new dog after I had to put my Queensland Heeler down last year and still need 4th of July, New Years and Thanksgiving ones for our collection Would love to have him in one random one at least, maybe add him to the Halloween one since he is a big "scary" Rottweiler lol

I am considering an avatar...but how does it work?
I have a pencil picture that has certain elements id like to see implemented into an avatar...
can I just uppload the pic and let some of you bright minds do the magic?

Upload the picture, tell us what's important and anything you might like added or removed and sit back for the results............................. I'll go hunting for my Photoshop, been too long away

picture upload does not work... it actually is more of a pencil sketch...

What file type is your scan/photo? For instance .jpeg won't upload, but .jpg will a will others. The uploads work just fine.

It could also be too large of a file.

It needs to be 2MB or less to upload.

somehow i would be curious to see what one would come up with, without further directions...

Rules for Avatars and Mini-Profile Backgrounds

An avatar occupies the space between "member" and "registered" and often a transparent avatar is used so it does not hide part of the Mini-Profile background which is the entire background behind it all. The Mini-Profile tiles and repeats so that's also a consideration when creating a background.

Mine is a transparent avatar and the background repeats seamlessly.

The transparent avatar's height insures the text does not overlap what's between.

I think it would work better as a background...

then again... my post will always have the lengt of the mini profile, and with all the oneliners i throw....well lets just say I`ve seen many half empty/full posts by some and found it unproportionate
