Will Israel ever accept Messianic Jews?

Indeed, Messianic Jews are largely shunned by mainstream Jewish communities around the world, and are commonly seen as proselytizers.

In recent times, tension between Israel’s rabbinate and the liberal streams of Judaism both at home and abroad have been in the spotlight due to disputes over religious pluralism. But another group, Messianic Jews, is continuously ostracized both by mainstream world Jewry and by Israel. Every now and again a story reaches the media about a self-identified Jew whose application for immigration to Israel, or aliya, has been denied on the basis that he or she is a Messianic Jew.

Messianic Jews wishing to make Aliya (return to Israel to live) are not allowed. They get blacklisted and are never allowed back in the country. The STATE does that to them.

There are descendants of Jews who were in the Death Camps who have been turned down citizenship and made to leave JUST FOR BELIEVING N JESUS.

This new Israel will end in tears. Of this I am 101% certain.

This is not the kind of Israel I can recognize. It is a vile imposter, the most racist, apartheid, hateful, selfish nation on the earth.

It would be better to call them what YAHWEH called them in the old days:

After reading some of the horrific accounts and learning that the State DISCRIMINATES against Christian Jews so (it says they can't be Jewish if they acknowledge Christ) I will never set foot in that place again until Christ rules those oppressing people who never learn with a bloody great IRON ROD.

You can't get the "majority" of any group to agree on even the simplest thing these days. But that's ok. Threads like this are solid divisive crap which get people to hate each other, so why let reality stand in the way of some good yummy hatred!

You need to understand the difference between Messianic Jews and Christians. By your OP I can see that you do not.

Why did you change the meaning of that link in your OP ‘s title?

Israeli Jews generally are friendly and accepting of Christians. They have different religious beliefs but they pretty much are live and let live about it.

Now Messianic Jews are a entirely different matter. These folks are taking the rituals and beliefs of the Jewish religion and changing one of It most basic beliefs. Namely Jews believe the the messiah has not yet come to the earth. They have their own good reasons for this belief.

It would be a little akin to having a group calling its self non-Messianic Lutherans. They are Lutheran however they don’t believe in Christ. Think that would upset the Lutherans? Think that the Lutherans would loudly disavow those non-Messianic Lutherans?

The Israeli Jews have several different sects through which they worship G-d they all are called Jews. However, the Messianic Jews are not considered Jews because they believe that Christ has come to this world already.

Deny ignorance!

Well let us see, how about a Messianic Islam sect. They adhere to the custom and tradition of Islam but also believe in Christ. Talk about the world coming to a screaming jihad.

Or in other terms, how about we call it Monopoly Chess. Great new game, you use Monopoly pieces and play it on a chessboard. Same thing as chess or Monopoly? Naw! Blurred lines? Not even. They are not being ostracized for believing I Jesus. They are being ostracized for claiming to be Jews after converting to Christianity.


They have no problem with Christian immigration I don’t think, but messianic Jews claim to be Jewish, while believing all the Jews are wrong and the Christians are right..

That's what I mean.

You want an analogue in Islam try thinking about Sufism which internalizes Islam rather than externalizing it. For much of today's Islam, especially the more fundamentlist sects, Islam is a very externalized faith demanding the world of the Muslim all around conform. It is as much a government system as a faith.

But if you turn it on its head as Sufis have, make it a mystical, internalized search for God, then it loses its power to control and compel others. It truly does start to become the peaceful faith it's sold as.

100% wrong, Jewish people don't acknowledge Jesus as being anybody in the same way as Christians do.

Jesus was a Jew end of.

Judaism is the Old Testement, not the new, so no Jewish people shouldn't listen to Jesus as to them he was just another Jew at best.


If you are of a Christian persuassion you may not be unable to understand this but you have to acknowledge Jewsih people don't reognise Christianity as it is based off of a person they do not acknowledge to be the son of God, you have to accept this because Jews never ever believed in Jesus, unless they were a part of his 12 strong cult.

Christianity was inspired by a Jew it didn't pre-date them.

No, if they believed the Christians were right, they'd be Christian in the denominational sense.

They're something in between, blurring the lines.

Now if you go the route that all it takes is to believe in Christ and His divine nature and sacrifice ... then, yes, in that sense, they are.
