Here is the saddest thing of all:

For all of those who go to do black friday, they do not realize that they have been dupped. You see, this is how retailers mostly work. From Jan to about August/September, the prices are about what you would find on that day, maybe a bit lower. Then about August/September, they raise the prices, especially on things that they know people will want, giving it a slightly markup. And run it like that until Black Friday, when people think that they are getting a deal. It is nothing more than a marketing ploy to get people into the doors.

Man, if I was a criminal I would see this as an exquisite opportunity to grab what I want and just dash.
Ofcourse my chances of getting away with it diminish if I'm the only one doing it.

I don't know, seems engineered to forgo forecasting population in certain areas that expect enough to go around.
"We like to watch the fighting bc we feel secure that everyone intends to stand in line to pay for this xmas."

I didn't realize the 3 wise men shopped at the market as they followed the star to Bethlehem.

that's why i keep smoked meat, moonshine, wine and all other lovely homemade things. I think a bottle of my dads moonshine would be worth a few guns at least lol

I had my mother, who is a Walmart store manager, put aside a 55" Samsung for me that I am purchasing as a gift, the price is well below any previous prices this year by at least half.

It is personal preference I guess. My better half saved us over $150 I'm a Christmas tree and an X-box one for my son. Which just so happened to be on his Christmas list.

I don't know how you other people get your money, but I have to work for mine and saving $150 is pretty much smart shopping in my opinion. She said it wasn't that bad this year.

To each their own. Some people enjoy the thrill and some people just want to save a few dollars on stuff they were going to buy anyways.

Yup. She gets the promo pricing before the general public so I can cherry pick if I want anything.

One year I got three TVs for $199 each since some geniuses paid for them but didn't return the same day for pick up so they lost the special pricing.

I didn't really even think about it until i saw this thread. Guess I'm stayin home today.

On a side note. I'm surprised people still participate on such a large scale. Plenty of great deals online, ya know?
