Psst, you're talking to someone who doesn't think you should have a family sedan, either.

I don't believe you'll find much argument to that fact.

There are, however, things we can do to mitigate such threats because terrorism isn't a protected right. As long as anti-terror efforts don't infringe on Constitutional rights, I have no issue with them.

I just hope you remember your #2 the next time a terrorist strike happens. Because terrorists are exactly the same when it comes to committing massacres, bombings, etc. And that goes for homegrown terrorists, right wing terrorists, Muslim terrorists, etc.

You forget, I'm the "Kill 'em all" guy. If they're expecting some great reward in their afterlife for killing a bunch of, well, me, then I see no pressing reason not to send them to that afterlife ASAP. I certainly haven't ever suggested we ban airplanes, box cutters, or even plastique explosives just because a collective of idiots use them to get their rocks off. The problem isn't the tools used, it's the people using the tools to kill. Remove the people and the tool harms no one.

I haven't seen that Shamrock, thanks for sharing though.

Lots of questions in the aftermath I hope to see explained when more info is released

OK, well, then they should be thrilled to know I don't have a family sedan... I drive a jacked up 4x4 Ford Expedition.

Yeah like stop giving them 'assault weapons' while trying to deny us access to them.

Anxious to hear if this one was on some anti-depression medication also. I have a spread sheet of 51 entries, that goes back to 1988 with multiple shootings and a couple of multiple stabbings. All except for three (they were muslim terrorists) had a connection to anti-depression medications.

Yeah, I was just trying to be nice. I like to sprinkle that in every now and again, just to throw people off from my usual direct, assertive way of communicating.

Normally, I would have just stopped my reply at, "Misunderstanding, or willful ignorance?"

The bloodshed began shortly before 8 a.m., Phil Johnston, an assistant sheriff in Tehama County, told reporters. Police received “multiple 911 calls of multiple different shooting sites, including the elementary school” in Rancho Tehama Reserve, a small area about 135 miles north of Sacramento, he said.

Quist said about 10:30 a.m. local time that parents were able to get to the school to see their children.

So...that means the shooting was all done and dusted by what, 2 PM Eastern at the latest?

I'm not sure if it's been posted already, but am I the only one that's seen reports that the first 911 calls came in before 8 AM this morning and the shootings continued in random locations for a few hours?

I heard something to that effect too. The perp was on a long spree, this wasn't a single incident that was over in 10 or 15 minutes.

I am talking about automated weapons. I mean, if you plan on kiling lot of people, why use a normal gun?

Machine or Submachine gun would work x10 better and kill way more people.

And precisely how many people are killed in the US every year by automatic weapons?

So true. All the while maintaining large heavily armed security contingents for themselves.

Isn't that the sad truth? This is, in my opinion, on of the biggest underlying causes of these mental breakdowns in most of these mass-shooters and killers.

It's impossible to prove that it's the variable that pushed them over the edge, but it's such a persistent variable that it's almost becoming a constant.

There's a reason the big pharma corps pushed so hard for HIPPA. The sad fact is now it is illegal for the media to report what chemical cocktail these cracked eggs are on (except, of course, the devil's cabbage and any of the illicit drugs.)

On average, I believe that number is 0. At a bare minimum, the number of people killed in an average year by an NFA machine-gun is certainly 0.

My AR-15 with RDIAS has never killed anyone, that is for sure. Although I am pretty Tee'd off I spent almost 20 grand on a small hunk of metal. Wastes ammo like nothing else, too.

Not particularly useful in most scenarios from what I understand too. Even our military doesn't issue full-auto to every soldier anymore. You waste ammo and you're not very accurate. As I understand it, in real world scenarios full auto is mostly used for suppressive fire. I was Air Force so I am not speaking from experience haha but that's what I've heard from people I know that have served in infantry. The gun we trained on was not full-auto.

then why are there news reports with witnesses saying they saw two gunmen?

Witnesses aren't always reliable.

Why would you doubt the only witness testimony of the event?

By default you assume/insist "Lone Gunman"?

Why is that? Seems odd.

Because preliminary reports are almost always wrong.

Do you believe that only Americans use anti depression drugs ? People use anti depression drugs in Germany as well but you won't find news stories about people going on a killing spree because of it.
In my country, small European country, 25% of the population are on anti depression drugs but we don't slaughter each other.
Seems to me that you guys try to find new excuses after every mass shooting just so you can avoid to address the real elephant standing right in front of you.
Naive and sad.
