The picture doesn't do the video justice. The number one question of course is why would they throw it into a nearby river if this wasn't some sort of hoax?

If it's real, the only thing it really resembles is a leech but it would be about 4x larger than the largest leech species known and probably 20-30x heavier.

It's not impossible that it's a species of heretofore unknown leech that just happened to find it's way into a toilet in a couple's house but I'd call it improbable.

It moves more like a snake imo. Perhaps it's something like a snake in a nylon?

Seems more like a leech to me, and there is a link on the first page to one that's similar, though not as long. Even so, that would be truly nasty! The parasitic worms mentioned, one article states can grow as long as two meters, so another candidate.

Moves sort of like a snake, but then again, not quite. My brother actually had one a good 15-18' long once, and he never moved like that. Shape wasn't like that, either, even after he'd eaten. My money is on a leech or some creepy worm.

Of course, since these clowns released it, we will likely never know!!

Looks like an intestinal worm someone released into the toilet during one of their bathroom motions, that just continued to grow and develop from all the food it was continuing to receive while clinging to the pipe system there. When it got too big to live in the pipes, it just crawled back up and out the lou.

If I saw something like this appear and it was real, I can tell you now there would be hours of footage of it, no doubt it would also feature some police or animal control folks as something like that crawled out of wherever you better believe I am calling folks.
It would be all over the news because I'd have that thing in a tank, a bucket or a saucepan or something for a scientist to check out.

Also I have a potato cam in my phone. I can tell you now though, even then the video would be higher quality than this.
I'd more than likely have some HD photos and video though via my SLR camera and gopro. (But would have to also have some potato cam footage so people believe it is real as seems to be an unwritten rule on teh interwebz.)

Gonna go with fake on this one.

But yeah, my ability to capture video and photos that are not a blurry mess is probably why aliens, ufos and strange beasties never visit me I reckon. (but mostly because I have not bought Adobe After Effects is my main guess )
