They are either the worst police department ever or they are lying to us on purpose.
You know they interviewed the security guard the night it happen and had the info then. So why all the wrong stories and confusion? Also why the confusion on when Paddock checked into the hotel. They have held firm with 9-28 up until yesterday when they were pressed on that being wrong. The receipt for room service that has been floating around says 9-27. But there is other proof he actually checked in on 9-25. Don't tell me it has taken a week for you to walk to the front desk and ask them when he checked in? I work the front desk at a hotel. Its a simple click to see EXACTLY when he checked in, down to the minute. I can check that info today or even a year from know. Easy peasy, not complicated.

Ok, Late to the party here....
Went over a few pages and I still did not see the most obvious question asked / answered (maybe I missed it).
If the Security Guard was shot BEFORE the gunman started his rampage then what the hell was the Security Guard doing outside his room in the first place?
Why the hell was he there?
Second question, If this guy fired 200 rounds into the hallway of a hotel, nobody else on the floor heard it and or didn't call 911? You would think there would be some people in their rooms freaking out if they heard 200 rounds being fired on their floor?
Sorry if these answers are obvious but not finding them....
Thanks for the info if you have it.

That's a helicopter. There's another video taken from the venue where it is visible and you can hear the whump-whump of the rotors. It disappears behind the hotel but then emerges a few seconds later. I saw the video posted in one of the other threads. It was probably one of the helicopter tours of the Strip.

It's a tattoo...
It says "winning!"
It's not like it was something found on scene.
The black sun is more interesting but who knows if people even know what it is they have tattoos of? It probably looks cool..
Most black jack tattoos are an ace and a jack..
Like I've seen 10 dogs in one day but that's not 10/1 at Mandalay bay
Lol

The official timeline now says he shot the last shots at 10:15. No shots were heard after 10:15. So he must have offed himself at 10:15 and yet that blood, photographed more than an hour later looks really fresh doesn't it?
Sooo---when was this photo made? Who "leaked" this photo to the media? How did they get a picture of the dead guy less than 30 minutes after he'd been shot?

Maybe the body was moved when the police stormed the room and the fresher blood came out then.

Sorry if this is off-topic but I received a 'welcoming you back' email from Mandalay Bay early this morning. The last time I stayed there was years ago for a trade show and my work paid for it so I don't know how they got my email. I've also never received any promos from them before.
Matthew Donaldson: My initial scan, coming in the room with my rifle is just seein' I'm seeing one male down, bleeding from the face. He was not a threat. Kept going, kept going, kept going.
Bill Whitaker: Said one male down. That was the shooter?
Matthew Donaldson: Yes.
Bill Whitaker: Stephen Paddock?
Bill Whitaker: What were his wounds?
Dave Newton: I didn't see any apparent wounds to his head. But I did see a lotta blood that had come outta his mouth.
Joshua Bitsko: There was-- a bloody revolver I think-- nearby. Nearby him that was on the ground consistent with him shootin' himself.
Las Vegas massacre gunman had a NORMAL brain: Autopsy finds 'no abnormalites' that could have driven him to kill 58 innocent people
Lombardo said toxicology tests have not come back and the autopsy on Paddock is still underway.
Asked if investigators are any closer to uncovering a motive, he added: 'We may never know.'

MGM Resorts International on Tuesday disputed Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo’s revised timeline of the Oct. 1 mass shooting on the Strip. But during an extensive Tuesday interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the sheriff stood by the revised timeline, then clarified it “could change even more.” “This remains an ongoing investigation with a lot of moving parts,” MGM Resorts spokeswoman Debra DeShong said in the statement, released late Tuesday. “As evidenced by law enforcement briefings over the past week, many facts are still unverified and continue to change as events are under review. We cannot be certain about the most recent timeline that has been communicated publically, (sic) and we believe what is currently being expressed may not be accurate.” Lombardo revised the timeline during a news conference Monday. He said police had learned that security guard Jesus Campos was shot in the hallway before at least 58 people at the Route 91 Harvest festival were killed and nearly 500 were injured. Police previously said Campos was shot after the attack on the concert crowd. The sheriff also said gunman Stephen Paddock checked in to Mandalay Bay on Sept. 25, three days earlier than first reported. The MGM statement was released by Joele Frank, a public relations firm in New York City. “We understand the public’s desire for information and the importance of getting our community and the public at large the information they deserve, and we are doing everything we can to support law enforcement’s efforts to do so,” according to the statement. “Therefore, it is not appropriate for us to comment further at this time on what remains an open matter for law enforcement.”
