Yea seems the narrative changes based upon the reason at the moment. It seems when they find out it's just some white dude, they make it seem like it's just some guy who had a bad day and flipped out. Any one else and it's a whole terrorist network with ties to every corner of the world.

The media? Usually the media are the ones going out of their way to not release a description of the terrorist, stress there's no connection to a larger cell, that the terrorist didn't have an ISIS membership card, etc.

Edit: Bottom line, terrorism has a political motivation. If this guy's motives were mental illness, by definition he's not a terrorist. We'll see.

I've heard this multiple times as well... THAT is a major red flag. Who was this woman anyway? Where did she get her info? Have authorities followed up on that lead and if so did they get any additional info? Totally bizarre...

Yep, saw that girl who witnessed this on german tv.
She said that the woman at the concert jumped queues, then had a dispute with another woman in the crowd and yelled: You will all gonna die tonight, or similiar.

That could also have been just a drunk country music ratchet...

Las Vegas Shooter Stephen Paddock Filed Lawsuit Against Casino

A public records search of Clark County Court cases revealed that Paddock filed a lawsuit against the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas hotel and resort. Tecords show he was suing for “Negligence – Premises Liability.”

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Paddock sued the casino after he fell. Paddock claimed he “slipped and fell on an obstruction on the floor” and was injured because of the “dangerous condition.”

In 2014 the lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice and a settlement was reached.

It seems very odd to me that we don't know anything about this guy. That makes me think he's an ANTIFA type.

This is one of the most appalling things I have heard about, since the events of 9/11.

My sincerest condolences and sympathies go out to the family members of deceased victims, injured parties, and indeed the United States as a whole.

As others have pointed out, there are some very important questions to answer for those investigating this incident, questions made all the harder to answer by the death of the perpetrator. I hope that the answers are forthcoming, and not as prone to obfuscation and deceits as those required in other, previous circumstances, have been.

There are cameras all over the hotel. Even the hallways. It would show if more people came in and out of the room.

Because I hadn't read the article yet so I didn't know. I had seen the title and clicked on it, and then the home page of Daily Mail reloaded itself and the two pages took a while to load.

The California oriented protagonists in God Bless America weren't motivated by religion, but instead a decadent society gone Idiocracy wrong. Which I must confess I enjoyed that film. While in the film American Idol was their 'trigger realm', I could see a Nevada guy equating a vegas country music concert as his own sort of American Idol culture.

If people were spread out in a natural environment it would be really hard. But it's easy if they're packed together in a parking lot or square. He wouldn't even have to be a good shot, it's literally like hitting the wall of a barn, if he misses one person then he'll hit the guy standing right behind them. As long as he has enough magazines ready.

Doubtful. For as much as the media ratchets up these stories, the details are always shady. It it weren't the case, ATS would not fill a role!

Yeah the one I saw it was as if people were more worried about dealing with the ones just shot than they were about scattering to safety.

What a tragedy. Hard to say really anything of any meaning.

The ripple effect of these types of happening are hardly ever understood by those not directly affected, but when you consider that each victim has family, friends, loved ones and colleagues...

That is an astonishing amount of people whose world was changed today.

And it happens more and more often in the world it seems.

Such a sad day in an ever decreasing circle of happiness.

It can't be normal, and it can't be random, and it can't be just chance.

There is an ever growing evil at this time in our history and I am not a religious person.
