Like more laws?

Sorry does that piss you off more than people dying. My bad

Not at all. Pretty sure murder is illegal as well as automatic weapons in most states. I'm not sure how you figure more laws will solve the issue.

Same way the solved it in most of Europe and Australia.

Mad how blind Americans are to the options of loosing their weapons over Saftey of the general public.

If you believe that taking away legal arms will promote safety, I beg you to reconsider that thought.

Show me the evidence that it doesn't

What are you talking about?

Europe never had a chronic problem with mass shootings. They were extremely rare events, and to simply say that a gun ban solved anything, is completely ignorant. So, try again.

Or better yet, stop trying as your premise is just false.

When the story first broke on the news, they were talking abut "multiple" gunmen and witnesses were talking about hearing multiple guns going off.

Now it's been pinned on a single 64 year old from a retirement village.

Something doesn't add up.

Sending good vibes to all those caught up in this tragedy.

Something odd about this event. To structured, planned and executed for just a random nut job.

The motive is the question.

Definately planned out ahead of time.

The shooters brother just gave a statement.

The usual "we don't know why, don't kill us".

It does sound like a crank, speed seemed to vary. (just heard a new sound clip)

Pls tell me/us when it's not too fking early to address the issue of weapons of small destruction..

That depends. How are things in Japan ?

No mass killings since that poisoned gas incident yrs ago, certainly none involving weapons of small destruction.

That is very good news. Evil comes in many forms and nations , doesnt it ?

Just a lot more frequently in places with mass weapon ownership.

You realize our press reports everything these days as a mass shooting because they are pushing the same agenda you are? This is true mass shooting much like the Bataclan.

First off let me say how deeply saddened I was to hear the news this morning. My thoughts go out to all affected.

I do have to bring up the fact though that for eight years there was a large contingent on this board that claimed every mass shooting was a false flag to take our guns. Now that Obama's out of office do you really think that these lone psychos are suddenly crawling back out of the woodwork? Or could it be that you were wrong about Sandy Hook, Colorado, Orlando, etc?

The shooter is 64 year old. I find this very strange !! Who wants to go out at that age this way, even a nutter. Something is odd about this and who is behind this guy what were his connections?

Was the shooter who they have said it is?

Fishy!!!

The point I am trying to get across is that until we actually know more about the motivations behind the shooting we cannot call it terrorism.

The FBI, if they want, can label it domestic terrorism right now without any challenge being raised, they don't even need motivation on his part.

I already did. The weapon (likely) and murder are illegal, and yet, still happened.

When people know the MSM will turn them into celebrities it motivates some to suit up and go out in a hail of 15 minutes of fame.

This is old stuff, what do you think the film Natural Born Killers was really about? The Media.

In his campaign run Trump was pro constitutional, lets see if he sticks to his word.

Either way hang on to your rights.

Remove those right from the law abiding good sense citizens, your left with armed criminals for one.

I doubt the 2nd will be threatened by Trump.

We know the criminals don't care about laws.

The left will be squealing, tho.

Have you watched the clips?
Have you hear the volume of shots?
Have you never been involved in a chaotic situation?

Real life isn't a movie where everything follows a nice script..

Mexico has some of the strictest gun laws, and yet gun crime is substantial.

You know, most people that shoot others are upset about something. If we just got rid of freedom of speech, then less people would get angry and committ violence.

It's your gun laws and #ed up right wing media. Believe it or not but most of your recent mass shootings are committed by young/ under 30 kids that are brainwashed with right wing racist media

No, I don't believe so.

I'm talking people who've been hospitalized, people who have been to their doctors. Documented prescription help and/or hospitalization. People have to talk about things sometimes. If the criteria would be set and followed as listed then the Virginia Tech shooting would have never happened.

I have a son who is on anti-psychotics. I would not condone him to own a gun if that gives you any indication of how strong I feel about it.

I watched the video a few post back.
That was not an AR15 semi auto rifle.
That was a full auto weapon.
He did not purchase that at the corner sporting goods store.
Can't wait to hear what the police say the weapons are. Will they tell the truth?

can you fire an uzi from that distance of the hotel??

I'm no expert on guns but if it's just some random guy swinging an uzi about??

Or is the distance too far?

When you are spraying bullets into a crowd of 30k people from the 32nd floor of a neighboring Casino your bound to hit someone. As the vidoes show this was not an aim and shoot scenario. this was spray and pray scenario. Also, again, not all deaths were do to people being shot. There were fatalities from people being trampled / crushed to death in the ensuing panic that resulted from the shots.

I think from that distance an Uzi could definitely cause 50+ people to die. And an uzi has how many bullets fire before need a reload?

Anyway plenty of automatics on display on this page:

en.wikipedia.org...

probably was one of those.
