They read out her name and an address earlier of her residence on the police scanner when they first shot the guy. Im not sure if its a violation to say his name right now, but the tax records come back to a guy (who is a registered sex offender), and they apparently have photographs together.

When cops busted into the room earlier they found her VIP card to the casino. I think someone posted a youtube link earlier in this thread with that info.

So terrible. First thing I thought was some mentally ill lone wolf, not an extremist religious attack. I'm guessing a male who got the shaft and decided to take matters into his own hands and shoot down random people. Must have been frightening being in the crowd, no telling where the shots are coming from. Surprised the police tracked the shooter down so quicly, LV really has an able police force.

That's what I was thinking, wife works in a casino, probably had suitors.

CNN just did an interview with a girl named Corine who stated that the shooters were on and were shooting people in the back parking lot??? Said they were herding them in to areas. She is convinced they were on the ground with her and said there is no way there was one shooter.

I think she is confused but is an interesting data point. She also had on a red flannel shirt and was with a young gentleman in a blue flannel button down. Feel it's important if we have to go back and review this stuff from a conspiracy standpoint later, to state these things.

CNN back pedal'd hard on her testimony. Also I need to find that footage with the clear gunfire...

Yup I hard that girl too she said there was most DEFINITELY someone on the ground. Every time she said the cnn chick would cut her off right away. She was clearly traumatized though and may not have known what she was talking about

Philipines Religion

The Philippines is an officially secular state, although Christianity is the dominant faith.[430] Census data from 2010 found that about 80.58% of the population professed Catholicism.[4] Around 37% regularly attend Mass and 29% identify as very religious.[431][432] Protestants are 10.8%[433][434] of the total population, mostly endorsing Evangelical Protestant denominations that were introduced by American missionaries at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The Philippine Independent Church is a notable independent Catholic denomination.[435][436][437] Iglesia ni Cristo is a notable Restorationist denomination in the country.[438][439] Islam is the second largest religion.

The Muslim population of the Philippines was reported as 5.57% of the total population according to census returns in 2010,[4] although a 2012 report by the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos estimates it at 11%.[440] The majority of Muslims live in the Bangsamoro region.[441][442][443][444] Most practice Sunni Islam under the Shafi'i school.[445][446]

The firing rate is very inconsistent. That is not a legitimate full auto, I think they used a bump stock.

Indonesia is 80% Islamic. They're Asian.

Marylou Danly's Filipino, not Indonesian.

Edit: it's also quite likely she was misidentified as the 50-something Hispanic woman trying to warn the concert-goers before being tossed out. She's in her 60's, and does look younger than that.

Over 10M muslims in the Philippines. Some of the islands have been quite dangerous since the 80's actually.
(Not suggesting this was Islamic Terrorism)

"Radical Asian Islamic Terrorists" are a long standing thing. Look it up, carewemust. Not sure I'd discount it out of hand, but I also don't see any reason to think that right now (apart from the Sin City angle, I guess).

That's what I'm thinking. Maybe he found her doing the business with a boyfriend in her hotel room and literally went ballistic.

Perhaps, or more likely the husband did not know and was not even there? They may be separated. Her 'roommate' might be someone else completely.
It would be odd for police to call a husband a roommate, especially when they already identified the woman.

Marilou Danley worked in the hotel industry in Vegas. I wonder if it's possible that she worked at Mandalay and that's how the weapon got in the hotel undetected?

No need to sneak them in, they don't search guests.

What drives someone to basically commit suicide over political aims? It's like they really believe Trump is going to end the world or something. Well if it really is the guy in question

This guy being connected to Mary Lou is from Arkansas in all the social media I see, but LVPD says the shooter is a local man.

The name I keep seeing is different.

Definitely sounds like a m249

That is almost certainly the rifle used.
Very distinct sound.

That guy's info comes off as a Trump Resistance freak with a Maddow fetish, can easily imagine someone like that being worked into a lather.

As a side note LVMPD radios / communication clarity is very nice.

Clear, no static, low to no background noise.

ATTENTION ALL

A reminder:

There is a name of the suspected shooter doing the rounds, but it has not yet been confirmed by any official body, so please refrain from posting any personal information about someone until the identity has been confirmed.

Marilou Danley is the only name that has been released as being involved.

Thank you.

Hmm... too bad we didn't have this kind of moderation during the Charlottesville incident.
