He also had several pounds of tannerite at his house in Mesquite.
I have a lot of questions at this point, but one thing for certain
he did not just 'snap'.

Like more laws?
Sorry does that piss you off more than people dying. My bad
Not at all. Pretty sure murder is illegal as well as automatic weapons in most states. I'm not sure how you figure more laws will solve the issue.
Same way the solved it in most of Europe and Australia.
Mad how blind Americans are to the options of loosing their weapons over Saftey of the general public.
“Since he has utilized firearms in previous crimes, has employed violence in attempting to evade arrest and has been diagnosed as being psychopathic, [Benjamin] Paddock should be considered extremely dangerous,” Palmer M. Baken Jr., agent in charge of the Phoenix FBI office, said at the time, according to the Citizen.
That makes no sense. Why then not just go after the casino or whatever other establishment you owe money to and shoot that up, if you're gonna kill yourself in the end anyway.
Explosive material was also found in a vehicle, which would indicate he was planning more. So again, I don't buy money troubles as the cause.

There was a specific ISIS video threat to Las Vegas made after the Orlando shooting.
ISIS issued another longer official statement that called Paddock "Abu Abdul Bar al-Amriki".
take it with more than a grain of salt though.

I'll add some pepper to that "official" statement that some automatically believe.

I'm not saying this was ISIS at all, just that they did make a threat against Las Vegas. However, the same video also made threats against at least one other city too. And that video threat is over a year old.
