…Fox News Sunday’s Christ Wallace seemed to be genuinely shocked when he lobbed what seemed to be a throwaway question at the end of his interview with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and got a very surprising answer. In short, the country’s chief diplomat suggested that the president of the United States doesn’t necessarily speak for the country when he talks about American values.

Is Tillerson fed up and wanting to go back to Exxon like Steve Bannon went back to Breitbart news after unceremoniously being fired?

SOURCE

Tillerson, devastatingly said Trump doesn’t represent American values and basically separated himself from the president!

www.slate.com...

Here’s more:

Tillerson went on to note that he didn’t believe “anyone doubts the American people’s values.” When Wallace followed up by asking whether Trump’s statements on Charlottesville reflected American values, Tillerson answered with five words that seemed to speak volumes: “The president speaks for himself.” Wallace seemed to be genuinely taken aback by the answer and wondered whether Tillerson was “separating himself” from Trump’s remarks, Tillerson answered simply, “I’ve made my own comments as to our values.”

The SecState represents NEO-CON values. Trump probably picked to lead the State Department as a go-along-get-along strategy.

Credit where it's due, he probably kept President Trump out of North Korea and China.

I don't blame the guy. Its an embarrassment to be associated with trump at this point in time. trump only has die hards now. Those people wont change, no matter what trump does or does not do.

Nothing story. Its all in response to the whole charlottesville thing. In other words, he just didn't agree with him.

Distance himself from Trump? Doubtful. He is the Secretary if State, a position that see's the President almost on the daily.

Literally a few words and responses is all that is needed to quickly drum up a story on the fly, all with the favorite twist. In other words, a non story.

Trump has already been JFK'd but in a more peaceful manner. His own daughter was his Trojan horse and the fact he made his Afghanistan speech like he had a gun in his back and never mentioned radical Islam is proof enough for me.

Congratulations! The Deep State/Globalists are still in control. Pat your selves on the backs.

Trump is slowly alienating himself from the people he surrounded himself with (or vice-versa). The cabinet is full of globalists. Trump will be the last anti-establishment president, just like Obama will be the last black president. The true puppet masters who actually run our government will see to that by making the John Q. Public voter feel they aren't intelligent enough to pick a POTUS, unless that candidate gets the seal of approval from TPTB.

Simple questions like this? This is what separates boys, little girls, and (Obviously),....women, from Men. Men are in short supply. Poor kid (Rex),.. couldn't handle working for a man. Poor kid, (Rex) is in for a "Counseling Statement". Such BS!

I was considering a thread on this but you beat me to it. Tillerson is clearly not happy with Trump, that interview was a clear shot across the bow. You can count him as one more who is breaking away. He hasn't officially denounced him yet, but it's pretty clear what he meant.

In other news, Mattis came out against Trump too, telling the military to basically not worry about Trumps transgender ban, and that the military is basically going to do everything they can to reverse it once he's gone, if not sooner.

On the same day Mattis said that (Friday, I think it was), the members of Trumps cyber security board resigned. News came out that McConnel and Trump haven't spoken in weeks, and Paul Ryan condemned Trump over several issues... then again over the pardon yesterday.

Also, some news came out that Trump seems to be involved in obstruction of justice. On multiple occasions now he has gone to Sessions (who also spoke out against Trump this weekend), asking him to end cases against himself and Arpaio, as well as trying to get Mueller fired.

Trump is in some very deep doo doo right now, and it's coming at him from all sides.

Actually it's more like Trump was put in by the deep state in order for people to lose faith on non establishment figures and have average people vote only for their own.

Like Trump is just there to wreak havoc.

Unbreakable: You're on to something. I personally don't think B.O. ment to be an idiot. But wasn't experienced enough, ..to know, he'd be J.F. K'ed, if he didn't let the dealer shuffle from the bottom of the deck. But he did allow it. And here we are! D. Trump is going to have that, "insight" to many things! But it'll be a, "Mr. President, we'll kill you, if this ever gets out", . Moment. If I accidentally, became "President"? I'd be on 24hour "stand to"...all day and night! Them MotherFrs, will get me! But it'll cost them! And it will be "reported" as ..."President drove car off bridge". Lol!

I am not discounting that either......It's obvious we are witnessing an American spring.

Well, he is correct. Trump speaks for himself.

How the people of the US and those around the world take Trump's words, is up to them.

The people within government have a job to do and their personal opinion doesn't matter much at all. That said, Trump's opinion will not change how they approach their jobs either. They are directed by laws and policies, not opinions.

So basically you think Trump is an idiot? That just happened to, subject himself, to public ridicule? "Deep State" or not. No Man, "Real Man" puts himself in that situation. That's why real men support, D. Trump. And if anything should "happen" to him? Well, it'd be like a bad weekend for "snowflakes". And his "bodyguards" better be able to answer some serious questions... Just like the "citizens"..they will be held accountable.

The left and the media will piss all over Trump no matter what he does unless he resigned and even then they would piss on him.

If his staff and Secretary's agreed with him they would be called mindless fools following in lockstep. They express their own opinions and they are used as props against Trump.

That is why I quit listening because it means nothing. You guys have completely lost credibility. End of story.

Watching that video, I got no indication Tillerson is distancing himself from the POTUS. It sounded to me that he was saying our American values are intact within the government and its agencies. He simply would not be pressured to speak for the president. That's not his place. I have noticed this about Rex Tillerson before. He is very careful not to speak for the president, but always says, "I'll let the president speak for himself". Smart man, Tillerson.

The Media are lyin' out-of-control sh##stirrers. Look at this headline from Vanity Fair. It's a lie. Look closely and compare it to what Tillerson actually said.

TILLERSON BREAKS WITH TRUMP, SAYS “THE PRESIDENT SPEAKS FOR HIMSELF,” NOT AMERICAN VALUES
The secretary of state seemed to pointedly separate himself from the president during a Sunday interview.

Lie#1 - Tillerson DID NOT "break" with Trump
Lie #2 - Notice what is in quotes. Those are the real words spoken by Tillerson. See the words following the quotes? Tillerson NEVER said that. The writer of the article inferred that.
Lie #3 - Regardless of the writer's inference that the SOS seemed to separate himself from the president, he actually did not!

Gawd!! The media are sick sick people. MPI, I'm telling you.

People! Get smart! Wake up to what they're doing to this president and his cabinet.

I must say, there many great responses here.

People can post what they like, but here I’m not interested in another Trump bash or praise thread, or fight about Trump, that’s been done---here we need to analyze this strange occurrence objectively if possible.

This to me is very interesting because it was a mystery why he hired the ex-head of Exxon as a SEC of State in the first place.

Was it to satisfy Putin, who is a great friend of Tillerson?

Or to deal with Iran, an oil giant?

Or global warming issues?

And here Tillerson seems to be basically stabbing Trump in the back!

And he is a deep state man as I’ve always said Trump didn’t really hire people outside of the deep state in the first place.

Hard to say. Either Trump picked them, but due to his naivite as a non-politician didn't realize how deep his picks ties to the shadow government were. Or it was Preibus, who hoped the boys network would take over and overrule Trump at every turn. Bannon basically said as much when he left.
