There are other alternatives to shortwave, you know.

What is your point? I said that no satellite is needed to bounce a signal back to Earth.

as stated SW propegation is well understood - and has limitation

if you want to deny satelites

please explain how : PLBs , iridium phones , garmin inreach etc work when :

none use the SW frequencies , all are lo power [ 5w ] hand helds ,

you are cherry picking - and ignoring all other evidence -why ?

hint - what output [ watts ] is typically used for SW broadcast across the atlantic [ UK > eastern canada // the US north east ??? ]

Are you actually saying that you think satellites are not real?

So, do you bother explaining then?

hi - to avoid time wasting . please read :

GEO primer

and follow on links

and

satelite primer

and follow on links

then tell us why you dispute GEO satelites

yes they do have a very high velocity - why is this a problem for you ??

For specific wave lengths. What did you not understand about, “in contrast to radio waves of higher frequency which travel in straight lines (line-of-sight propagation)”

Would you like to cite what frequencies are utilized by satellite TV for example, and why.

If a geosynchronous satellite's orbit is not exactly aligned with the Earth's equator, the orbit is known as an inclined orbit. It will appear (when viewed by someone on the ground) to oscillate daily around a fixed point.

Why is this?

According to the flat earth hypothesis the sun is a magical, sentient being who is also "in on it". Through some kind of mass hypnosis/telepathy this magical, sentient sun is able to deceive us into not noticing the massive changes in angular size or the fact that we can see the sun off in the distance in the middle of the night as their model proposes.

How do they work without the required perfectly aimed satellite dish?

How could you ever forget that? One of the most silly claims in ATS history, IMHO.

Isnt Long Wave lower frequency and Short Wave higher frequency?

Oh, you edited it to say "perfectly aimed satellite dish".

Here:

hikingguy.com...

It uses the Iridium satellite network, which has pole-to-pole coverage (keep reading for reader confirmation from Antartica!), to send and receive data. If you don’t ever hike out of cellphone range, you don’t a device like this. But if you hike out of phone range as many of us do, this palm-sized device can save your life

It's a satellite network. No dish required.
