The problem is that they indeed may come for you whether you have a clear heart or not. These people are behaving like the Fascists that they pretend to be against; suppressing speech, behaving violently, and trying to control what others think. What makes you so special that these twits wouldn't turn on you on a whim?

As for me, I don't know if they are coming for me or why they would bother. I don't own any confederate statuary nor do I display swastikas. I don't care how their feelings are hurt by not having safe spaces or why they see racism in everything they look at or if they think that there are more genders than two or so. Maybe they are just feeling inadequate but I have done nothing to make them feel that way, so I shouldn't be important enough to bother with. What do they gain by violence? They gain an excuse to behave like animals and the mob mentality drives them to one-upping each other with more and more outrageous depravities. I admit I do not suffer fools and these groups, Antifa in particular, seem to have cornered the market on fools. So if they do come for me, there will be less of them going from me. I won't lose sleep over it because the world is better off without selfish, destructive people like Antifa.

This is fun! When I was a kid they used to have this game called "Rock 'em, Sock 'em Robots", and you moved your robot around and jabbed and uppercut with your thumb to knock the other guys 'block' off. (sorry millennials, this was long before video games).

It's kinda like the antifa discussion.

They also don't appear to have any sort of organization or anything. Antifa seems to be a self-administered label people who believe a certain ideology use.

It's about as loosely organized as "Anon" -- and not even as well organized as OWS. They don't have meetings, fundraisers, spokespeople, or even a unified platform presented by some authority within this "antifa".

This makes it ripe for crazy, violent nutjobs to claim they're antifa and do stupid crap. I wouldn't be surprised if some white nationalists did things in the name of antifa just to give the name a black eye. It's entirely too easy.

Also: Because they're so nebulous and unorganized, they make a perfect boogeyman for far-right groups to demonize. The more vague and hard to define the "enemy" is, the more broad your accusations of hate/fear can be.

Really do not know what is Antifa in USA, but here, in Czech republic, they did useful (dirty) work because police was infested with neo-nazis in 90. and early 00. From fighting club it evolved pretty much to intelligence agency. Now they simply collects data and send them to prosecuting attorneys ...

There is no official statistics but CZ Antifa is probably more to anarchism then to communism. It is goal based collective - they are there to fight nazis - and underlying ideology is not much important. In other words Antifa members do not derive their identity from Antifa but they are participating on Antifa because their world view says them so.

I'm pretty positive situation in other European countries is very similar.


Neonazism was quite big problem in post 89 Central and East Europe countries. In Czech Rep. there were neonazi actions bordering with pogroms on Gypsy and Viet Nam minority.
