For those claiming the video is false or full of propaganda:

Refute the claims in the video please. It is not enough to dismiss the video without supporting why.

The inconvenient truth about the our country is when the racist wing of the Democrat party began deserting the party, because of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the GOP was only too happy to gobble them up.

And they did it over then next two decades with racist policies and dog whistles.

When the GOP looked like they were going to finally break with the racists, Trump jumped in with racist policies and dog whistles, and pulled them to his breast.

He added loons and wackadoos to his coalition, tossed in some illegal help from Russia, and voila he became our #fakepresident.

So the Democratic party has a ugly past when it comes to issues of race. But the GOP has an ugly present. This ugliness may spell the end of the party. A party that really looked like it was growing beyond the racists in its midst.

There are some people of character and discipline left in the GOP. They may save it. But it will probably take a generation to remove the stains left on the party by the #fakepresident.

So Trump is a racist and so are Republicans. Bold claims with nothing to support them but your opinion. Got anything factual?

We were born with some deformities. At the founding of the USA, you could only vote if you owned property and were a white man. This was a notion that sits squarely on the shoulders of the Framers.

The following video lays out the facts about slavery, the KKK and the Democratic parties involvement in suppressing the rights of black people. It starts with Abraham Lincoln and ends with Lyndon B. Johnson. It lays out the tactics the Democratic party used in order to keep blacks from integrating into society and their attempts to prevent blacks from gaining rights.

A good watch if you have 6 free minutes.

As I stated before - Black people voting for Democrats would be like having Jews voting for the SS.

Yes indeed. Democrats try to whitewash theie history and present. The onky response youll get is the specious claim the ideologies and party switched. This is not supported by facts.

There were about 20 or so major dixiecrats in congress. Only 3 swtiched republican. The rest remained democrats. The republicans gained ground in tbhe south due to economics. The souths economy started booming and we all know when people start making money they tend to favor repu licans.

I read it and its why I keep asking you to support your claims since nothing of what you posted refutes anything in the video.

Defended Slavery:

The entire South was Democrat at that time. What's the dominant ideology of people in the South? It's consistently been Right-Wing based hasn't it? Why would they vote for a Liberal party?

That information is telling you that the Democratic Party used to be the Right-Wing party.

Doesn't this game plan feel familiar? There is no more Obama or Hillary anymore to divert and distract with shocking sexual lies.
This elections plan is to slander an entire party so opponents could be labeled with it and give supporters a new thing to hate. Someone to blame for their miserable lives.

As far as the Confederacy goes, it still represents slavery because that is what it represented during the Civil War and it hasn't had the chance to change since it lost the war and was disbanded. Maybe if the Confederates had won the war, they would have eventually gotten rid of slaves as well and been given the chance to redeem themselves. Maybe not.

ETA: www.history.com...

Slavery in Colonial America was hardly just the South’s “peculiar institution.” At its height, the enslaved population in the North topped 40,000, and now new research published by the Hartford Courant sheds additional light on the often-forgotten Colonial history of slavery in New England and reveals that one of the region’s most aristocratic families were active participants in the slave trade. In the winter of 1757, one of the bluest of Colonial Connecticut’s bluebloods set sail from New London. Colonial governors sprouted from Dudley Saltonstall’s family tree, and his ancestors included John Winthrop, the Puritan founder of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, and Sir Richard Saltonstall, Winthrop’s first assistant. His aristocratic father—mayor of New London and one of Connecticut’s richest men—had dispatched Saltonstall, barely 18 years old, to sail off on one of his vessels and keep an eye on its crew. On this voyage, the ship’s name matched its destination—Africa. After crossing the Atlantic Ocean, the merchant ship sailed up the Sierra Leone River on the west side of the continent. It docked at tiny Bunce Island where it loaded its precious cargo—slaves.

This re-branding of history has been going on for years now. Everything the re-branders think the Right should be ashamed of is attributed to the "Democrats but let's not mention they were Right-wing". It's a survival tactic, albeit a lazy, dishonest one.

Only Congress could pass a law making slavery illegal. Til then it was a moral issue. So we had a war then an amendment. And stopped slavery from expanding west.

Using Party names to talk about history is a mistake...because parties can change ideologies and platforms.

Instead, you should use the Ideology names...which in this case you have to watch the video and replace "Democrats" with "Conservatives".

Nice try...something something...re-writing history.
