It's interesting that we constantly hear the cries of "take personal responsibility" when it's something like people needing food stamps, or monetary assistance, or help with medical care.

But something like this, it's all about playing the blame game.

I actually had a line about personal responsibility in my original reply.

I guess personal responsibility is selectively applicable, depending on one's politics. :/

They want things to be like they were years ago.

Hence, conservatism.

As someone pointed out yesterday (sorry, I can't remember who) Even Trump's slogan, "Make America Great AGAIN".
is looking backwards and not facing the changes that are coming.

Yep, it's a seemingly cultural devolution. People want more personal freedom and to regain some "rights" they perceive to have lost, but they do so at the expense of taking it from others as if in order for them to regain rights they perceive as lost they must take them from others.

I think we should ban cars to prevent this insanity. Car related crimes are on the increase.

If you own a car, there's no excuse.

An automated car wouldn't have killed anyone.

At least not until the robot uprising.

So the driver was an Anti-Trumper who mistakenly ran over the wrong crowd!?
Somehow the media will try to twist this in to White supremacy strikes again.
Way to go alt-leftie.
You have no friends left on this planet.
Rot in prison.

It would be in good form for you to return and acknowledge the facts compared to your assumptions dear sir.

Given at the time facts were low and emotions were and are still high, but many members have made similar comments and it's mostly been crickets since the establishment of who the attacker actually is.

Yes there are some facts unknown such as was it intentional or an accident or is he really who and what they say he is.

But if the current reports are accurate it appears some of you should at least return and share your opinions on the matter since a lot of what many said with confidence is simply untrue.

I can't speak for all but I believe some jumped ship because the story no longer fits their narrative.

With all due respect, your above post is guilty of exactly what you accuse the left and the media of doing.

Let's discuss this in search of a solution, does that sound like a fair start?

The 'alt-right' are not conservatives. They are radical reactionaries.

True, but:

The entirety of the Republican/conservative base is not alt-right.

Yep. Looks just like all the local liberal rags in NY. But perhaps the Aussie news was a little overzealous with their geography... Charlottesville is more than a hundred miles from D.C.

Not quite the "doorstep".

They are wrong in their assessment but their "doorstep" comment has nothing to do with geographical distance, its a figure of speech, that the blame and cause is WH:s fault

In this regard, 'doorstep' is merely an analogy to say that the blame for the retarded driver killing and maiming is directly Trumps fault - Trump caused the carnage - not the car, not the driver - Trump.

Hence the 'Critics put cause of bloody violence at doorstep of the WH' propaganda dribble - ensuring that the Trump-hate is kept alive and well.

And we wonder why stuff like this happens. Take responsibility for your president. It is jos actions that have made these type of people crawl out from the rock he was under.

It's okay to run over(legalized in some places) protestors now, very sad to see some agreeing with that.

Swarm my car threatening me with violence and I'll run you and your buddies over too.

Clearly you didn't watch the multiple videos of the incident. If you had, you would have clearly seen the car took a very long run-up down the street and collided with the crowd quite fast. Nobody had time to "swarm" the car or any other nonsense you people come up with.

Stop making excuses for the behaviour of one of your own and start talking sense.

Sorry I hold the INDIVIDUAL responsible I never BOUGHT that "society" created crap.
I HAVE met people who would rather be homeless or dead that do a job...because all is TOTALLY predatory and they have HAD it.
They could have harmed a GREAT deal of people to get what they want, I can too WE know how.
BUT we remember WHY which is absent from the burgeoning socialists who track a European, caste virtue of globalist, subjects seeking a master.
The fault of collectivist logic is EASILY seen and circumvented based on the simple fact their entire LIVES are devoted to SLOGANS not personal CODES of discipline.
Cellphones have been parenting people.

So, it was a Dodge Charger. Has anyone blamed a certain family of reformed moonshiners from Hazzard County, Georgia yet? I know of at least one angry sheriff and one corrupt county commissioner who'd love to blame them.

Yeah, that's how stupid and absurd our political discourse has become.

Clearly you didn't watch the videos.

I saw a car drive into a crowd of people and strike the back of another car.

Then people violently swarmed the car and a number of them got seriously injured (maybe even killed) as the driver escaped.

Did you see something different?

What do you mean... "one of my own"? And... "you people"? WTF?

There you have it folks.

A 32 year old female paralegal committed suicide by throwing herself up against a car.

A 32 year old paralegal committed suicide by throwing herself up against a car? Wow.

I'm willing to bet she was the one on the trunk of his car that got pinned against the truck when he was backing up.
