Why is a GJ unexpected?

I mean, if Mueller could make a show of firing up the ol' electric chair, that would be the story.

I was wrong so my apologies. A former top aide to preet has joined the team and not preet.

Mueller’s staff grows to 13, with ‘several more in the pipeline’

Peter Carr is Muellers spokesman and has confirmed the 13 lawyers are on the team.

Very cool, thanks. That's a step in the right direction. I'm looking forward to this however it ends up. If this shakes some snakes out of the system then I'm all for it, whoever they are.

They have nothing. He hired a bunch of overpaid, high dollar mouth pieces who will turn this into a freakin' clown show. Wait and see.

Mueller did this only so they could call people to testify. When you call someone to testify you are signaling you have no hard evidence of any crime. I can't wait to see who gets called to testify. It will culminate with one of the most over hyped, non-divulging spectacles of our time. Mueller is going to come out of this looking like a complete an absolute idiot.

The other possibility is this investigation by Mueller will drag out with no indictments while the information collected on Trump / people in his administration will be used in the 2020 elections against him.

Ya know with all the scandals occurring with the Democrats (Clinton emails / pay to play / influence peddling / awan brothers / DWS / pizzagate / staffrs being murdered / obamas - clintons actions...

I wonder if that is what Clinton was referring to during her outburst when she said if she loses they all hang.

Comey didn't say he gave his leaked memos to a reporter,

That's right, he didn't. He said ONE MEMO. And he didn't give it to a reporter, he gave it to a friend (who gave it to a reporter).

The memo he gave to the friend did NOT contain any controlled security information. Politically sensitive information yes, security information no.

If you are going to hold this against him, at least get it right.

Trump was NOT CLEARED and Comey never said any such thing.

At the time Trump asked, the FBI was not investigating Trump. That's all.

Comey never said Trump had been cleared and Comey never said that Trump would not be investigated.

If Trump was not under investigation, how could he be cleared of what ever it was they weren't investigating him for?

Hmm if they are so one sided why is the conviction rate 93% post indictment? You can be assured that if indictments come out people are going down.

Well, impanelling a Grand Jury is one thing, getting a conviction afterwards is quite another.

Correct. That is why we know that something very serious is going on. Mueller would not impanel a GJ unless he had a rock solid case. He does not want to look foolish, nor sully his reputation of public service with a "witch hunt."

Really? and yet he had a close working relationship with COMEY, making this an ethics issue and if MULLER does not want to look foolish or sully his reputation then he should have "Excused" himself as lead investigator.

IMO MULLER has already destroyed his reputation and clearly shows he has no ethics.

Soon Russians in the U.S. will have to sit at the back of the bus--if they are allowed on the bus at all. Soon Russians in the U.S. will have to wear an "R" (for "Russian") on their clothing when they appear in public Russians are not a protected class in the U.S., and thus hate speech against them is tolerated and perhaps even encouraged. It remains to be seen whether fair-minded Americans will identify a viable outlet for protecting the human rights of Russians within the U.S.'s borders... and www.wnd.com...

I guess only the MSM and their insiders sources familiar with the stories can answer that .

That's ridiculous. The concern and intrigue surrounding Russia Gate has nothing to do with Russian persons but the Russian government.

Actually, no. It's turned into an investigation into real estate dealings with private citizens that have absolutely nothing to do witht he election. Now you counter about oligarchs and you're proving the point you are arguing against.

This is where the rubber meets the road.

The bigger question here is - who #ing leaked this sh!t again? A Grand Jury seating by definition is supposed to be a secret.

This is how SECRET works with a grand jury

1) The people empaneled are under strict orders not to talk under penalty of prosecution
2) The same for the investigators
3) NOT witnesses that are called or served subpoenas for documents etc. They are free to tell people about it.

Yesterday it became known that the Grand Jury was empaneled, NOT because investigators leaked, but because of the immediate flurry of subpoenas that were issued from the new Grand Jury regarding the Trump Jr. meetings and other finances, dealings etc.

Staff, associates and businesses got DC Grand Jury subpoenas for documents and records and some folks got subpoenas to testify. Everyone who got served is free to discuss with lawyers, friends, family and press.

No "leak" required.
