I agree with you....but the word "bias" is all in the belief system of the person that is receiving it.....is it "biased" to want some type of sustainable healthcare for all American citizens or to have sickness and death determined by the size of your personal bank account?...is it "biased" to NOT WANT corporations to have the same human rights as actual humans beings?....is it "biased" to think that the wealthy should pay the majority of taxes, since they make the majority of income?....is it "biased" to want an EPA that actually enforces clean drinking water and clean air laws?....is it "biased" to keep federal tax money from going to religious schools?

Now, that might be deliberate, but I should think that there are enough conservative echo chambers out there that the Three Amigos don't feel the need to compromise the integrity of the site to entertain a new business plan.

I think your post highlights one of the biggest problems we face when you mix conspiracy and political discussion. You and others think you are being brave soldiers in a fight against the MSM and Leftist narrative, but your conspiratorial mindset blinds you to the fact there is no MSM boogeman and there is no narrative.

I was hoping for a better response, but your post is proving much of what you stated to be true.

It seems that many on ATS have divided themselves up into "tribes". How is that for a new control tool? It is not about the sharing of ideas, or even the disagreement of ideas around here anymore. THIS is exactly how I see it as well. JohnnyCanuck I've been here just as long as you have. I see what you are saying, but I can see the moderator side as well. There's no doubt the boards are different and civility and decorum have gone out the window, but not just here...EVERYWHERE. Right wing,left wing,all the same bird,and all the same way of just pulling out a socially acceptable way of name calling anyone who challenges your beliefs instead of just agreeing to disagree. We used to do that here. Agree to disagree and move on. Be offended by a post and not resort to name calling,just move on. Recent posts about ignore buttons and warnings in the old days,post bans and such perhaps kept us in line and it worked. Nobody knows how to talk to anyone anymore without being offensive or sensitive it seems. Political correctness gone awry. However, change is the only constant. For ATS, we all could adapt, or complain about how great the good old days were, though they'll never be again.

This is hard to accept, but.....

Right wing kids go into business and get jobs in finance, services and other money minded jobs once they are done with school.

Left wing kids go into journalism and social work. They take jobs centered on public opinion and in media. All those voices getting heard....

Smart people on both sides do what comes natural.

The premise is that strong traits are served in their life choices. Most journalists are left minded since that is their strongest skill set.

I am pretty sure the "Mud Pit" area is what has led to the decline of recent. I understand the reasoning behind it's creation though, so I can't really argue it being here. Trouble is that it is by default a part of the main page and recent posts, likely because it garners the most activity and is constantly in the top posts.

I actually believe if the site owners wanted to quell the angst, they could simply prioritize it like the "general chit chat" forum so it would not be at the forefront. This would keep the knee jerk reactions to hit piece headlines down quite a bit, and force members to seek it out versus having it constantly in their faces. I have fallen "victim" to this many times.

Anywho.....I too have been here a long time and would say that the political theater in general is the main issue. Nobody can separate their feelings from their posts to truly discuss political conspiracy.

Yeah, but what this website now calls 'the radical left' is literally anybody even fractionally to the left of the hardline far-right.
