As ever, the political pendulum always swings towards the anti of which ever group is in power, and there's always a counter-balancing of pro.

It's startlingly close to 50-50. But that's not what many, on both ends, want to hear, as it defies their agenda.

I have been here 10 years as a member and another one lurking, this stuff was here when I arrived and predated me when you talk to the even older members.

The name of this website is ATS, above top secret.

The wast majority of the popular threads here has absolutely nothing to do with any mysterious or secret subject. They simply reflect (typically in a biased way) what the mainstream press is shoving down your throats. Did a depressing catastrophe or an atrocious crime happen? You can be sure that threads about it will be posted here immediately and will get flagged senseless.

On the other hand, if I dare mention people like Tom DeLonge or Steven Greer on ATS, an army of experts rushes in to "deny ignorance". Unfortunately hardly any of these posters ever actually studies the material in question.

Is this the fault of the owners of this website? I don't think so. The content is generated by us, the public. The popular content just mirrors what people want to hear. I just don't see how that is any different from the classic boulevard press, except that you can voice your opinion here anonymously.

My personal solution:
1) I only scan the title page for the "Aliens and UFOs" symbol and ignore the rest. Except, occasionally threads like this.
2) I go to the forums section, choose my favourite forum and then select "new" above the page selection ("new" shows all threads while "recent" already pushes the threads with more votes). There are still a few gems lurking there, off spotlight.

now that they control the entire federal government, and the majority of state governments, they're going after the MSM and universities, the 2 entities that they do not control.....and the threads here on ATS bashing those 2 have become more ugly, and more frequent.

Hmm... as an admin you should know people, by nature of being human, are easily lead by the nose. That being known, why would ATS bait trolls with a section that does nothing but adulterate and putrefy this site's content?

But the fact that you somehow thought that proves that you are quite simply delusional, and your claims of the right wing "hurling feces" is equally delusional.

You not only routinely are quite rude in your posts, most of which are partisan based (which is fine by the way), but for you then to project and blame others is ridiculous.

Just like this thread; you start off insulting the right wing people on this cite, and then cry the victim when they respond. You even delusionally make up claims about my thread being canned.

I think you need to take a step back and look at your own posts before you criticize others.

I was a lurker in the bush years. Youre correct, most of ATS was against bush/cheney. The 911 threads were the hottest topic and were strictly moderated as a result.

Eta- even after I joined it remained the most heated forum up until around Obamas second term in 2012.

ATS was a lot different back then. I mean, yah, there was politics because of the election then.

But here on ATS, you literally tripped over vast amounts of threads on the end of the world, Mayans, Nibiru, polar shifts, and pretty much any other kind of doom porn you could think of.

Of course all party's have to end, and when the world didn't, subjects here on ATS shifted around of course.

Then it pretty much shifted around to Electric Universe, Electric Comets, Mars Rocks.

Spring last year, it shifted again: Trump and Hilary......and it's stayed that way for quite a while, until after the election, and now it's pretty much Trump, Trump, Trump....oh and more Trump.

As there are so many on here that hate Trump, and so many on here that want to support him, I don't see that ending anytime soon.......

Unless someone can cough up a new Mayan calendar date? More pole shifting proof? Maybe we'll be lucky and there will be some more comets headed this way........
