I would contend that what most of these people are really trying to say is that they have a problem that ATS is not catered specially to them. These people think that the rules and content of ATS should be only things they like.

This argument is not new nor original ; I once Admin'ed a similar board with 200K users so i do have the experience in these matters .

I fully endorse everything you say, and I feel exaclty like you do. This place has become a pit of hate against anything un'murican anti-trump and everyday I feel less and less at home here.

ATS does have a huge potential to make money for it's owners , workers and users alike .

Unfortunately the e-commerce and i-commerce potential of ATS goes unnoticed largely due to lack of investment in the ATS.

I once had a chat with one of the Mods , several years back I believe .

ATS business model is stuck in the 90's , firmly .

As far as the Decline is concerned ; it is normal for any business to decline should they fail to invest , innovate and improve with times.

Users of ATS reminds me of Junk DNA .

Well I was contacted about a possible investment, but after finding out that both Isis and ATS frown on nude images, i realized they must be an Isis front I decided to hold on to my money.

Thank goodness you were here to point out the REAL problem with ATS.

CONTENT like that ultimately drives MORE views/clicks away than it DELIVERS.

When I am at work I have to slide the browser to the right so the ads don't show Don't want them thinking I am looking for a foreign bride as the side banner always seems to suggest.

I have seen posts saying Scalise deserved to be shot. I have seen posts saying Otto Warmbier deserved to die. I have even seen racist threads about white people being stupid.

In fact, some of the people on this very thread calling for more censorship have been the ones to post that.

Again, you would complain if your posts got removed, yet clamor for your opponents to be.

ATS was yet still even better before 2010, before all the facebook children, before the first decline, now many of you fear the second fall yet you know not what this once was.

I watched first hand as all these ignorant children, walking there first steps onto a broader plateau of potential belief. Walked amongst our treasured relics of ATS and cut them down where they stood, mirroring poisoned rhetoric of there indoctrinated beliefs. With that, many of those with the broadest of minds whom always brought forth the next mystery to absorb into and discuss without fight they were banished into silence forced to seek new homes. Whats left are the bumbling scum and those whom still push forward into the unknown and try to show us the way.

Political cycle was and still is viscous and invades everything, it's easy to get burnt out. I've stayed away. It's like a polluted river and not knowing where, when or if it's safe to jump in.

Totally agree. Iv'e been here for over a decade and the site has change considerably. As JohnnyCanuck stated quite rightly it's become full of folks who go ape sh.t should anyone post anything anti trump.

I think one thing that can done is to hike off the US political thread onto its own high level menu (Video Top New Live USPOlitical Archive etc) This would remove swathes of posts that just swamp everything else.

From a neutral point of view (I see past the charade of partisan politics) it's clearly the "right" polluting ATS with the hate the OP describes. Yes, the "lefties" do it too, I do it as well, I get caught up and post some nasty things...

But at the end of the day it's the self proclaimed right wingers that are turning ATS into a volatile forum. I'm getting knocked down to your level and letting you extremists get the better of me which I have no one to blame but myself for allowing it to happen.
