In all honesty this site was and still is a good site but when Trayvon martin got slaughtered by the stalker guy,that's when you really saw the true colors of ats,the posters and honestly where the mods stood and how they felt..not all mods just a couple of them.

Exactly this! I can remember how shocked I was reading all these ugly comments about how Trayvon deserved what he got and the amount of posters glad there was "one less thug" was astounding. Up until then, I'd looked up to the people posting on here and thought ATS contained some of the smartest posters on the whole world wide web. That was one crazy u-turn. I remember the bloodbath that followed and did remove a couple of heads in that fight myself.

As for the OP, being that I'm not an American all this left and right talk really gets to me. Seems like there is a cultish behavior going on here on some "you're either with us or against us" and here I am..on the outside looking in. Political talks is drowning the site, hope it goes back to what it used to be. I've been lurking here since early 2000's and originally found the site looking for ghost stories, then I lurked for several years before finally signing up in 09. It's more of a mainstream news discussion in modern times, but at least we that know, know that it wasn't always like that.

A policy is there for the benefit of the users and this particular policy in question is absurd as it requires Adam & Eve cartoons to be dressed !

Your commentary on Trump is open to interpretation as I do not fully understand what you meant and do not want to incorrectly portray your point.

I think Trump is part of the show, the hand behind the scenes pulling the puppet strings put Trump there for a reason in my opinion. The madness that ensues every time he speaks/tweets proves how easily the gullible are manipulated.

The fact that a large populace of the United States of America actually believe that a ROGUE POTUS made it into the White House with their best intentions in mind, is downright frightening. I would contend that what most of these people are really trying to say is that they have a problem that ATS is not catered specially to them. These people think that the rules and content of ATS should be only things they like.

I often see adverts which breach terms and conditions on 'family friendly' ATS, I laugh quietly to myself at the irony.

I must say I agree with the OP, it seems those shills which ever side of the fence they sit on have taken over the home page.... What might be advisable is a re-editing/Tweak of the homepage.
1. A homepage comprised of sectioned panels for each Subject and displaying the top 2 and 1 of the most recent in each panel.
2. Condense all those political forums(far to many).

At least when members logged in they wouldn't be bombarded with a solid page of how Trump likes vodka or Clinton likes special pizza We would have a homepage with a panel for each genre, scrolling down to which ever panel floats your boat, be it Political, Paranormal, Religious etc. etc.

Sorry OP but I believe the attitude of certain poster/members is an innate trait of the ethos they follow, a saying here in blighty, "It does exactly what it says on the tin"... The right will always have a greed based self-serving ethos,"Trump" so it goes without saying the types of people it attracts will be of that ilk. The left also has its moments but their reasons come from frustration when faced with ignorance, injustice or inequality, "Bernie Sanders" that is seemingly ripe in today's world... So lets have a Front-page rehash sectioned out for more variety
