Then proceeded to fire on them after getting an answer.
If the reports are true, it's obvious that the gunman politicized it.

I am just curious as to how the shooter had planned this. It doesn't seem like a random attack. There must have been some research and planning that was involved.

One of the congresspeople that was present answered that question when it was posed to him in CNN. He basically said there would've been plenty of people that would've known. These arent secret practices. And they're regular and out in the open.

They're saying suspect had an M4, if it hasn't been mentioned.

Nothing was noted about his shirt. Another poster was talking about a 'what if' situation of a guy shooting Dems.

I'm wondering if it was just a misquote in all the confusion. I thought I had read he had been shot in the hip and the arm but can't find that now. He is now in surgery but that article is the only place I see chest wound and the pics don't seem to show that either.

The reports I saw say that someone asked if they were Republicans or Democrats. The shooting then occurred later. Has there been any confirmation as to whether the one asking the question was also the shooter?

There's far too many people on both sides, crazy enough to do horrific things like this as well as too eager to paint the entire opposite side as crazy enough to do horrific things like this. We should all just be glad that no one was killed and stand together to protect each other's rights to stand and speak in the same places even if we disagree.

WITNESS: Police yelled to suspect "put down the gun" and people from the baseball team yelled something like screw that, "shoot him."

The rhetoric of the Democrats is creating this atmosphere of violence. They openly call for the death of the President, give a platform to mock beheadings of political figures on national television, hold nightly plays in Central Park depicting the assassination of the President, make music videos showing the execution of the President.

On and on and on.

They've cultivated this animal mentality, and now we see the result of it.

The Dems have got to condemn and stop this violence. I wonder how long it will take for Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi to condemn this attempted slaughter of Members of Congress.

Glad nobody died.

Hopefully, this will lead to the Dems and the MSM toning down their rhetoric. All their "Resist" nonsense was certain to trigger someone to violence sooner or later.

I don't know, that's what they're looking into, I think.

sounds alot like he was trying to make small talk, especially when its obvious who the republicans and democrats were by their shirts.

How is it this is such an example of the division in this country?.

Remove the factor of the victims being political types and it's just another shooting.
