What are you talking about? My comment was related to the OP wondering how Barron was effected by some dumb photo. I asked, how was he effected by his dumb father saying dumb things.

I can't believe all the drama generated over this.

I had never even heard of Kathy Griffin before this whole debacle, nor had I even seen the piece in question until all this crap broke out. If anything, regardless of the bad press and controversy this has generated, she has succeeded in getting her name spoken in every living room in America. She went from being a nobody to another divisive talking point.

Pretty stupid of her to do this, especially given how sensitive the Secret Service is to possible threats. But this isn't the first time people have made some pretty gruesome displays against a sitting President. Many people have mentioned the frequently tasteless and pretty gruesome displays made by the Obama haters, from lynchings and burning to ridiculous attacks against the Obamas. So it's not like "artistic" displays of violence against politicians in this country are anything new.

TMZ is a celebrity gossip rag, and not exactly a great source on anything, but apparently, other media outlets picked up on this too, and Trump himself tweeted about it. Beyond that, finding any neutral, grounded and reliable source of information on this whole thing seems impossible. Almost everyone is on one side or another.

You have to be damn smart to get accepted to Wharton. Look at his children and their amazing accomplishments. Oh...and don't forget his father and uncle. His uncle was a Physics professor at MIT. Oh, and his sister is a federal judge.

This "Zombie" three-dimensional target, that closely resembles President Barack Obama and bleeds when you shoot it, was featured at the NRA's Houston convention, May 3-5, 2013.

There were children desiring, holding, salivating over automatic weapons in an environment where showboating adults were calling for the overthrow of the President of the United States.

That's terrible, too. But, that depiction doesn't even look real. If it weren't for the oversized ears, you wouldn't even think it was Obama. That doesn't look like his face at all.

Kathy Griffin intentionally, imo, held up a very life-like image of Barron's dad, our president, beaten bloody and beheaded. It was too damn realistic and the look on her face and that cold stare as she held it up and looked directly into the camera just said it all.

So, you're sticking with the story that Barron saw the picture, thought it was real, and screamed "Mommy! Mommy!"

Yeah, I'm not buying it. Plus, I think it's the lowest thing that the Trump's can do, under the circumstances, is trot their young son out in public, using his feeling as the reason to stifle free speech.

Free speech isn't based on how real it does or doesn't seem. The message here is still clear and the supposed threat of assasnation is still there, even if it makes people feel better if their president is imaged as a dehumanized ZOMBIE before they shoot him! I'm sure that made Sasha and Malia feel a lot safer!

Having a young teen...it is unbelievable the amount of crap they see/hear about on the web that they believe. Ridiculous even. Absurd. It's why ours doesn't have unfettered/unmonitored access. You would think Barron wouldn't either, given the nature of the 2016 election and the resulting fallout.

Anyways, at least a few times a week we have to dispel some outrageous tidbit our teen either read or heard of through friends.
