Whatever happened to the good old days where when a President's life was threatened, the Secret Service would show up on their doorstep to help them disappear?

I miss those days. It would be very nice the Secret Service could help us all out and make these a$$h0les disappear forever.

I don't think there was ever such a time.

The President, every President, receives several death threats a day.

The innocent children of those in positions of power and under the scrutiny of every eye.............

I feel empathy for him- but from what i've seen these kinds of children are either made very strong by their lives under their parents important careers or they are deeply disturbed by them.

I may not care for DT- and i support the freedom of artistic expression- but I don't like to see or I don't particularly enjoy the concept of children upset and frightened or traumatized.

He is 11 and seeing a decapitated image of his father is hardly comparable to a video game

And, I'm saying that I don't believe the account from the OP, that Barron saw the image and truly believed it to be real. I'm saying that a kid of that age and of such social and political stature should know the difference between political satire and reality, or at least have been prepped by his parents and/or handlers for when these types of situations come up.

I'm saying that images of Obama being lynched and burned from trees and every other disgusting meme of him and wife, most certainly caused trauma for Sasha and Malia too, but we didn't talk about suspending free speech or locking people up based on the First Children's possible feelings.

I wonder what Barron thought when he heard his dad talking about grabbing pussies?

agreed, a tweet indeed. however, point is... he's a kids book author...making fun of a kid... because said author dislikes Trump.

I have no idea what Barron would think if he heard or hears in the future...

For now, I'm more disturbed at what you thought/think and why you would think it appropriate to bring it up here.... Still titillating from the cheap thrills? Living vicariously thru the pervert-in-chief?

Or did you learn that new math that says one wrong plus another wrong equals right???

Can you imagine if this photo had been real? Kathy Griffin would have been immediately catapulted to infamy status. She would be the most infamous comic of all time. Wouldn't be right. There are so many other comics WAY more deserving of infamy... My vote would be Louis CK.

Hold on.
Why bold the if.
If he heard it
But you start a thread about how traumatized he was when he saw the pic
Why not if he saw the pic?
Cause the unnamed source is gospel?

I must say this thread is a good reminder as to why the working class are leaving the democrat party in record numbers leaving only the undesirables to try to win national elections. And also why I pick on liberals every opportunity I get.

Really? I have to spell it out for you? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, given that you consider your feelings about Barron to be gospel. So okay...

Because I have absolutely no reason whatsoever to believe that Barron did in fact hear it (yet). So I was not going to respond to a false premise -- as in "when" he heard it as opposed to "if" he heard it -- therefore bolding/emphasizing/distinguishing that I was not responding to the false premise presented to me, but to the known and/or unknown facts.

On the other hand, the OP addresses a published reports, which I have acknowledged several times may or may not be true in whole or in part -- so no, not "gospel".

Awesome.
Pretty sure your op didn't say it may or may not have happened.
Does not matter.
I have my feelings. You have yours.
We know where we stand.
No big deal

I understand that and I feel for folks! I sure didn't enjoy explaining to my then-teenage kids what Ms. Lewinsky was doing under the president's desk... and I'm a little ashamed to say that I was relieved that I wasn't going to have to explain this president's words to my now adult kids.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Would have been cool if his parents told him he might come across an image that is not real and a mean joke.
Did They?
Maybe

Can't miss a chance to play on people's emotions though.
Wow is that what a Presidebt must do.... warn his children if something he cannot foresee???? This is outrageous. If shoe on left foot just imagine the outcry
