The Shed has been pretty busy this morning I see. I'm slowly building up the energy needed to do the much put off laundry. I'll be lurking today when I can as I think I missed the donuts and coffee again.

Woo hoo! lol

I only have an emulator on my computer. Formatting was a chore-
let me know if it looks decent, I was unable to confirm with 100%
certainty.



edit to add: I think Jacy and Missy are reading the pdf version which
would be a chore even at the best of times.

I think it's happened this way for a reason, Jess. As others have said, it's tough to wait but all in all it's probably for the best.

Slightly off-topic. I occasionally make a salsa con queso for Mrs. Shepherd and I at night. I have not made it in a while, but she asked so I headed out to the kitchen. The recipe is pretty simple - some cream, a bowl of cheddar cheese, and some salsa. I pull out the cream and open it - since it's been a while I check it. Smells slightly off but it's way before its expiration and that could be just the cream around the cap. So I pour a small spoonful and taste it.

Let me tell you, I have never tasted anything quite so foul. I spit it out in the sink as fast as I could, but could NOT get the taste out. I ended up pouring a generous shot of vodka and swirling it around to get the taste out. ICK!!

I'll just note here that the vodka method works. That's all I'll say on that.

We lived in Anaheim for a season when I was a kid. The apartment complex had a pool, and my sister & I would spend all day nearly every day outside in the water. By the end of the summer, I was so brown my mother said I looked like a brazil nut.

Back when I was swimming as a teenager, I was introduced to a friend of a friend who asked me if I was Mexican. Erm, nope. Minnesotan, just really tan.

Hoarded story - got it! This makes sense.

You know, that's a fairly good rule on vodka, but doesn't necessarily have to be vodka, or that same order. Right? I mean, if you take a shot of tequila, you chase it with something sour instead - lemon wedge, right? So yeah, good formula.

Hello to whoever is still here or lurking!

Thought I'd have a healthy meal of baked fish and veggies, but...it was Thursday and the special came with a free desert. There is now a big piece of chocolate fudge cake sitting in my fridge. I keep trying to forget it's there, but it seems to know my name and is calling to me.

Went to an antique store and found beautiful embroidered hankies with handmade lace around the edges.
