Wow, busy in here...yay!! Okay, responding in two parts.

Lucid...I agree that I also enjoy getting to know somebody through their words alone, but it's only positive if the person is being honest and real. Good writers can take on different personas, so without being able to see the other person's eyes and body language...it has the potential to be deceptive.

Consistency is usually how I can tell someone is being genuine (in real life and online). After a certain amount of communication I start to 'feel' the other person's energy (sorry, only word that fits for now)...and the best people I've ever met have been here on ATS and in The Shed.

chiefsmom...Hey Little Missy!

I can remember phone numbers, lol. My old ones from years ago and in another city, and even long distance numbers that I called over 30 years ago when I was a switchboard operator.
No doubt part of the reason I get so ticked off when I try to talk about anything "Mandela Effect" and some little snot tells me I have memory issues! (rofl)

Urg what an update!

Due to unforeseen emergency cases they have had to move Paul's surgery to Tuesday. We were on the road when we got the call so right now family is going out to eat. Thank you so much for your support! We are totally bummed and HATE the added wait but I believe it was meant to be.

Hi Martin.

Thinking about you and Paul. Waiting sucks.

Good Morning Shed Friends.

Yaaa. Huey Lewis and a Garden Breakfast.

Today I have the day off. We finally have a day with sunshine and warmth. My plan is to wack some weeds, cut down a few small trees and possibly go to the eye doc to find out why my left contact is acting up. Weird. Never had a problem before.

Hope everyone else is enjoying their Thursday.

So, what is everyone doing this weekend? Since it is a Holiday weekend here, and I started taking my Fridays off for the summer, it's a 4 day weekend.

Whoo Hoo!

But we are staying around the house I think, because I have to get the garden in. I'm going on my lunch to get the Tomato and Pepper plants today.

I will be dodging rain this weekend, it sounds like though. And we will have to get the small fence up. I don't need the darn chickens eating everything.

They can wait til fall. They make garden clean up so much easier!

No worries! Handle means username. I don't like yours very much because you aren't crappy, and I dont like blues because I want him to feel like he's found it.

...And I have to tell you about Paul’s nurse. Right before we hung up she told Paul, go home and take you a stiff shot of whisky, it will help!

Ahh, a nice Scottish nurse!

So, what is everyone doing this weekend? ...

Well, I did a little bit of graphic design work this morning.
Had leftover home-made Lamb & Mushroom lasagne for lunch... OMFG!!!
Then I spent the whole sunny afternoon out in the woods on my hammock, carving and releasing a wooden mushroom into the wild!
I am taking Fri and Mon off. Jumping in my camper van... and...
Going to the largest free music festival in Scotland (probably in entire UK) - MoFest! to meet up with old pals, play guitar, sing songs, get tipsy, tell tall tales, see some great bands, get even more tipsy... you can see where this is going!

OH Gordi, that sounds like a blast. So you may be a wee bit hungover Tuesday? LOL
While the lasagna sounds good, I would have to
on the mushrooms.

@Krappiecat! Hey! I like to fish too! Was just talking about sneaking it to some pits by our house with a friend, maybe Saturday afternoon! Lots of bluegill in there!

Your not in MI are you?

Good Day everyone!

Jacy, I was laughing when you were talking about our old phones that were attached to the wall and learning how to use a computer. It was the young kids who taught me the most about using a computer. On a forum I used to go to all the time, I had to ask what LOL meant. They thought I was kidding. I wasn't. I had no idea what that meant. LOL

Going out for lunch with my Sister soon. She will be going away to Colorado for a visit soon and will be away for a week.

Gordi you always have some fun filled weekends, this one sounds awesome too! I'll be away myself on Friday afternoon sometime until Sunday.

Still sipping coffee and desperately trying to wake up. Need another coffee.

hahaha!!! Of course you can.... (I didn't have one.... just made it up as I went along.... But I shall try and remember for you....

Lamb & Mushroom Lasagne

Ingredients (for 4 people):
1lb (500g) Pack of Minced lamb
1 x 14oz (400g) Can Chopped Tomatoes
4oz (100g) Button Mushrooms (halved)
Pasta sheets for lasagne (dried ones are fine or use fresh if you prefer)
2 Lamb Stock Cubes (In UK I use OXO brand)
Some beef gravy (you can use instant gravy granules)
Cheese Sauce - (Melt a Knob of butter with 1 teaspoon cornflour, add 1/2 pint Milk, 1 teaspoon mustard, and Lots of Grated Cheese!)
Large pinch of Mixed Herbs.
Large Pinch of Garlic Powder.
Salt & Pepper to taste.
Grated Cheese for topping.

Method:
Preheat the oven to 180 C

Cook the mince in a hot pan whilst stirring!
Add the Mushrooms & stir.
Add the Lamb Stock Cubes, mixed herbs & garlic powder, & Beef Gravy & stir.
Add the Tomatoes & stir. (You don't want the mixture to be too dry... it should be "sloppy" (kind of like chilli).
Cook for a further 5 mins & add Salt & pepper to taste.

Make your Cheese Sauce (or you can use a "packet" one!)

Place half of your Lamb/mushroom/tomato mixture in the bottom of a lasagne dish (or other long rectangular dish).
Add one layer of Lasagne pasta sheets.
Add one layer of cheese sauce.
Add one layer of Lasagne pasta sheets.
Repeat layering with the other half of your lamb mixture, then pasta, and finish off with a layer of cheese sauce.
Sprinkle with grated cheese (and mixed herbs / pepper to taste).

Bake in the oven (180C) for about 30 minutes.
Serve with garlic Bread (and a nice Red Wine!!)
Enjoy.

Sorry if I've missed anything out - or made it seem complicated!!! It REALLY Isn't!!!
