If you don't like Facebook, don't use Facebook.

Don't conservatives believe that businesses have the right to refuse service to anyone at any time for any reason?

Sounds like whining to me.

Conservatives support businesses' rights and yet whine when they don't get their way.
Priceless!

That's what folks like you keep arguing ... except when you argue against it.

I think this is not really valid here.

FB isn't refusing service to a protected class. They are refusing service to someone they believe violated their terms of service, which lays out that you can have your account suspended or removed for violating TOS.

The "gake" issue was someone flat out refusing a service to a protected class. If not servicing gay people was in their terms of service, then their terms of service is unconstitutional. Facebooks, on the other hand, does not appear to be.

It helps to think it through when trying to draw comparisons.

Excellent points ... but I'd say that's not even the real issue here.

I've argued that the Fourteenth Amendment should protect all Americans from unfair discrimination.

Shoulda/woulda/coulda.

The real issue that is quite evident here is that there are those protesting that the guys suspension from Facebook is an attack on free speech ... and those are the exact same people who bring up the idea that every business owner should be able to deny service for any reason.

The greatest issue here that I see is rank hypocrisy.

Just poorly thought out, likely rote repetition from news outlets and partisan social media.

Seriously man, how many folks on ATS (or anywhere, for that matter) that give out viewpoints not directly lifted from partisan media?
Original thoughts seem to be an expensive commodity.

Yes, another excellent point.

LOL ... I'll just hesh up. (Do you guys have that saying in TX? It's common among older folks in GA.)

The funny part is... they're not even running their own business.

Google says rogue vendor violated guidelines by instructing contractors to rate InfoWars as untrustworthy site.

When a bakery refuses to bake a cake for a gay wedding... the entire left is up in arms! But when conservatives get targeted for censorship... suddenly you guys care about private business rights?

And you wonder why, every day, less and less people are paying attention to what you have to say.

I'm glad they are doing this, there is a reason why these platforms are tanking and alternative ones like GAB and Vimeo are on the rise. So please, continue with the faux outrage and censorship... I couldn't have ever hoped to hand out this many red pills in my lifetime.

For every action there is an equal or greater reaction, verbalizing hateful thoughts into words is an action that runs the risk of being met with negative consequences whether you or anyone likes it or not. You can be all philosophical about it and pine for the ability to say whatever you want free of those consequences all you want but it will not change the way of the world. You utilize your "free speech" at your own risk but don't cry when you get popped for being a prick, it's just the way things are so deal with it Pepe.

This coming from someone that called Trump supporters delusional idiots for thinking he had a chance to win the White House. It must have been a rude awakening for you.

a reply to: RainbowPhoenix

I suppose your referring to ANTIFA, right? The delinquents going around in black masks burning down their own schools and attacking innocent people in front of news cameras. Free speech on the internet is one thing, beating people senseless in the name of "anti-fascism" is another.

Keep it up idiots, every day joe public is seeing more and more of just how much the left has become a bunch of hypocrites. Feels good man.

Progressives have sought cultural and economic reforms since the time of Wilson. Jonah Goldberg explains in his book Liberal Fascism that Progressives in the early part of the century embraced fascist policies such as birth control. Indeed it wasn't til Hitler put a bad face on eugenics that Progressives changed how they termed things and Margaret Sanger and Rockefeller changed the name of Anerican Birth Contril League to Planned Parenthood which always was birth control in whatever variant. Progressives today imagine that nobody realizes they seek total control which Mussolini called Totalitarianism a big government control over our lives because they believe they know better what is right for society. They feel
They should guide the laws according to their vision. As BigFurry said and raked me over the coals about, "gake" was about equality according to Progressive visionaries and think that otherwise big corporations have a right to censor and control, Apparentky the dichotomy here is lost on some people, they want it the way they want it Progressives live according to Humanist philisophy and believe tbeir set off values to be morally superior and will use the State to enforce it,

LOL ... I don't usually use the term "delusional idiot" in public, although I often think it.

A rude awakening? Nope. Was I forced to realize how dense the American Electorate can be at times?

Yep. But I lived through Reagan ... I was already very aware of that.
