I don't worry about an ICBM hitting the US, but I do think the the USS Carl Vinson strike group is vulnerable to a low altitude detonation. Perhaps little Kim could make a case in the world court that it would be self defence after the US strike in Syria last week.

No war. We/China/Russia...every nuclear power knows where any nuclear warhead is launched from, even China, NK's only powerful "friend" doesn't want war and will do whatever it takes to prevent it and will probably help us contain them.

Our only issue is that if there is war with North Korea, We need to understand that It's important to China not to have a unified Korea. We can't just go strolling up north and do what we want. We don't want another Korean War um..I mean police action.

Better for everyone involved if North Korea becomes a Chinese province or puppet state.

Very well put, if China deals with the problem then I don't think Americans would be too concerned about NK becoming a Chinese puppet state. It's better than the lives of our sisters and brothers.

However, if China doesn't take care of it, we should.

I don't think the news from Russian and South Korean media is made by Kim's staff. It is unwise to underestimate the enemy. I never said I supported Kim's policy, now or ever.

Both of them could have EMP device, nuclear or other. It needs only a remote command when the satellite is over NK and time mechanism to wait until reaching over US territory. Whatever happens with North Korea later, USA will be already EMP-ed.

Could USa take down the satellites as precautions measure? That would mean the war has already begun, and Kim will attack the South with all forces. However not perfect his missiles are, they are as good to reach nearby US bases and also Tokyo. The Soviet missiles in Cuba were even less perfect, still they could destroy Washington DC in 5 minutes.

As we see from the reports of population withdrawal, NK prepare for the worst scenario for themselves, under whatever pretext for the international public.

The people were invited to say good bye to the country, fields, etc. The idea that the communists and the muslim ...whatever, have no human feelings, no instinct of safety, is wrong.

The terrible thing here is not that, but the resolve of North Korean regime to use nuclear weapons, as it declared so many times. I doubt USA will intercept all the missiles. Did it intercept even one foreign-made missile? We just got the fact of 50% tomahawks failing to reach target. Radiated by unknown EM weapon may be? US weapons are not perfect either.
