if we keep provoking NK, then they retaliate. not hard to figure out. why should they let another country tell them what to do or face military actions?

I believe it's N.K that does the provoking with lobbing their crap in Japan's direction.

Pretty sure we're still technically at war with NK (Since 1953).
An armistice was signed, but no declaration of Peace.

I have the feeling that Kim Jung is going to strike first because he knows that his days on this Earth are coming to an end. The world needs to be ready for that.

Wonder if Lil Kim will light off one of his nukes in his own country as a false flag.

He's just crazy enough.

He is crazy but I think he would want to use his first and last strike against our bases in the area so he can show his peeps how tough he is.

they have missiles capable of reaching the continental US. Couple of nukes with how many tests? Who would test his only nukes.

Most of his test have failed and these have been tested in controlled environments. The only thing in Kims favour is the ideology of his people they will fight to the death for their Dear Leader.

That would be Bill Clinton.

But North Korea promised on a stack of Hustler magazines, never to use the nukes.

Actually, the US went to war under a UN Security Council resolution, and not a congressional declaration.

As such, the war was illegal and continues to be to this very day. We were never "technically at war".

Just sayin'.

And did not Kim cancel the armistice himself? I'm sure I read that story.

No the "war" was perfectly legal. But the US itself was never at war with NK. It was a UN operation.

They have some, but they're hit or miss.

We could intercept most of their systems if not all.

But would we? That would be a great crisis to not let go to waste, by letting some of them hit.

We could have stopped Pearl Harbor, but didn't. We needed an "event'

I agree with you except that last bit, we had no foreknowledge of Pearl Harbor. There may have been a few hours, but not enough to orchestrate a spin behind the scenes.

I read yesterday about China supposedly removing the coal trading option it had with NK.
No more coal imports from NK? That could put a hurtin on?

As I understand it coal is what drives NK's economy.

Following repeated missile tests that drew international criticism, China banned all imports of North Korean coal on Feb. 26, cutting off the country's most important export product.

KJU probably could have aspirations to go down with a prettier face than most dictators do?

He could leave a nasty scar on the face of his people, worse than it is now.

Maybe if something solemn could be done?

Where does dignity take place?
