Of course the US has troops in Syria, to fight terrorists.
U.S. Is Sending 400 More Troops to Syria

There are also US citizens in Syria.
U.S. citizens probably mostly in Damascus. This war could spread down there.

Russia says America didn't warn Russia about the strike.

twitter.com...

Well, if twitter says so....Then that's it I guess.

Scary thing about this is Russia could potentially send something over to the U.S. via ICBM and not worry too much about it as the U.S. is far enough away from there to not have too much fallout effect them.

They have their own land-mass and resources from close-by their own country.

They could live without the U.S.

Trump is an idiot.

The anti-virals the troops had to sign a release for, and they were forced to take before they left were what made a lot of them sick.

False, if this were true the VA wouldn't be paying disability for the effects. Read the links I posted. The information is out there if you want to get informed. If you want to stay ignorant, stick your head in the sand and pretend it isn't there. There is proof our troops were exposed to Iraqi chem weapons. I've posted the links twice just in this one thread. I'm not gonna sit here all night correcting all the fearmongering WW3 types. Have fun.

Well it was a surgical strike and it seems that's it for now. I don't think this will lead to world war 3 though.

Is there an exact number on the number of missiles used? I've heard low 40's - 60 in different reports.

Stupid idea by Trump and team. I can only hope the intel was good, that Assad indeed used chemical weapons to kill civilians, and the strike was warranted.

Agreed.

It's why Id like to hear from Gen. Mattis.

That sucks.

If you're gonna commit an act of war at least make it a round, even number.

Assad got rid of all the Gas, this is a set up.

Did he? Did Syria also give up the capability to produce chemical weapons? Gaddafi in Libya did a similar thing with his chemical weapons stockpile offered up for destruction. It was later found that he had retained a secret cache.

" Republican Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham said Thursday that President Donald Trump "confronted a pivotal moment in Syria and took action" in ordering the firing of Tomahawk missiles on an air base in response to this week's chemical attack by President Bashar al-Assad's government.

"We salute the skill and professionalism of the U.S. Armed Forces who carried out tonight's strikes in Syria.

"Acting on the orders of their commander-in-chief, they have sent an important message the United States will no longer stand idly by as Assad, aided and abetted by [President Vladimir] Putin's Russia, slaughters innocent Syrians with chemical weapons and barrel bombs," they said. "

www.newsmax.com...

Two War Hawks such as McCain and Graham Praising President Trump for his Actions in Syria ? I have a Bad Feeling that he is being Manipulated into Starting a Military Conflict with Russia over Syria by the Neo Cons who have a lot of Influence over Military Intelligence which President Trump is Using to Justify this Response . Women and Children Gassed ? How could he Not Act being Told that ?

Over 50 cruise missiles is not a little reaction. A lot of damage done I'm sure.....don't really know if I'm happy or sad. Syria the country and its people on all sides have already seen so much.....

Pretty sure 60 cruise missiles would completely destroy the air field.

As stupid as I think the attack was, your comments make no sense. MAD is there for a reason. What.. the U.S. won't notice a bunch of ICBMs heading their way, and send a bunch their way? Of course we would.

The troops from the 2003 invasion receiving compensation from the VA don't have a virus. They have chemical burns and inhalation effects from Iraqi chemical weapons. I've posted the links twice a few pages back. Stop spreading lies.

Oh I was replying to someone who said that there are no US troops in Syria, but I forgot to "reply".

US citizens are at risk in a country were chemical attacks are occurring.

Yeah, he's just all willy nilly with the bombs for no reason, but you have more intellect and info than him right?

I don't think so.

Sarin poisoning is a horrendous way to go.

If some one has the power to stop others from being murdered by it.

We should put an end to it.

Obviously more info is needed. Let's hope Mattie and Trump are more transparent than the others. I guess we'll find out.
