Russia is America's ally against jihadists. Assad is America's ally against jihadists. Sometimes, a little tough love is necessary to prevent WMD from being used on civilians.

Go after the people who did it then.

It was the Syrian opposition the first time. It was the Syrian opposition this time.

Trump wants to do something that will end the Syrian Civil War and stop the growth of Islamic Extremism? He should've aimed those missiles at Riyadh.

Ideally, a lot of us voted for Trump because we hoped he'd do things a bit differently than his predecessors.

I do have to admit Trump's reaction is far preferable to failure-based diplomatic disasters and threats or posturing quickly followed up by retreat.

My only concern is that something about the Sarin attack just seems fishy. I'm hoping this doesn't go badly.

However it goes, Trump gets the blame or the credit.

I only hope that something good comes from this.

I don't like it.

but I don't know everything either.

Trump critics should be happy.

After all they fought against a temporary travel ban to Syria that allowed open borders to people that are snipped off at us.

Now we are going to get MORE refugees.

Iraq had WMD. They used it on their own people. Our troops were exposed to it. I posted links to it a few pages back. Get informed. "Iraq had no WMD" is a lie. Stop spreading it.

Trump's statement: Trump's Statement

I haven't been impressed by much of anything President Trump has done to date. However, this statement is excellent. He seems honestly emotional about the innocent loss of life.

I really hope the intel on who was responsible for the attack is rock solid, If it's coming from the CIA, I'm doubting its veracity. Assad's regime has made substantial progress in its fight over the last 6 months or so so I really don't understand what purpose of his it would've served to execute this attack. It's been alleged that earlier attacks were committed by the rebels trying to blame it on the regime. There's seemingly no humanity on either side of this fight.

I know you're a tough guy living in the "real world" unlike poor little me. But if you read what I was saying you'd realize I was talking about "War for Resources".

I know killing innocent kids is wrong. I also think who did it should be dealt with more seriously than a pinky swear.

I know what the real world is guy. But I also know dealing with stuff like a f*cking meat head ready to shoot everybody is stupid too.

Oh, Iraq had WMDs when the US invaded now?

Alternate Facts, why not Alternate History too?

The Media lies constantly, why believe them about this? Nobody believed them in 2013.

Senator Marco Rubio is on TV now laying out a solid case supporting Trump's actions, and said Trump had the moral and legal right and responsibility to take the action that was taken.

He said this is the way to carry out a military operation. The goal was to take out the location where the chemical attack was launched from, and that is what they did.

He also said that we have Americans near there, and our own troops are at risk of chemical attacks.

1. This morning, Secretary of State Tillerson says that the U.S. "Is Forming" a coalition to combat Assad and force a regime change.
Source: www.foxnews.com...

2. Less than 12 hours later, the U.S. unilaterally attacks Syria's military.

There's a name for this type of battle strategy. Anybody recall what it is?

Says right in the first paragraph he left what specific actions they would take unclear. He did NOT say they were initiating regime change. And if we were these missile strikes would not be the most logical first step. The first thing we would do is attack their air defenses.

The strike is getting mostly bi-partisan support. Maybe the two sides can agree. Has hell frozen over yet?

They're not at risk though, unless the rebels are going to turn on them.

I'd love to see when the Government gave permission for America to send it's troops to Syria. If they never got permission that would be an invasion.

Sure about that ?

Because the only thing that pays for the Welfare Industrial Complex is the Military Industrial Complex.

That's the real world.

I'm curious how this is gonna play out and they said there is evidence that Assad did gas his own people. I'm not necessarily against war if the cause is just like the war on terror. It looks like the military strike crippled only the syrian airforce and the military did everything to avoid unnecessary casualities. I will just wait what comes out of all of this before i condemn Trump. Like i said there was no right decision to end this mess in the first place.

They did.
