I called the Police Station and this is not a commercial stunt. Well as far as the police searching for him goes.
Could be a big prank he is pulling, a stunt to sell copies of the books,could be many things.

Alright, I've looked through the video several times now, and based off of the screens I've taken, this is the most accurate portrayal of the "Transmutation Circle" that's under the statue. I Can go further, but I'd only be doing guess work off of similar images elsewhere to fill in the blanks we simply can't see in the video footage.



The red figures we can't actually see in the video, but you can just make out the edge of the circle where the left figure would be at the front right foot of the statue.

Using the link that Peserc found, I've placed what could be the missing figures that accompany the top figure.

Here's what the link's Transmutation Circle looks like



It's nearly identical to what is seen in the footage.

If we assume that the two missing figures are the ones in the Transmutation Circle in the link, we find what each of the unknown symbols mean.

The three big symbols in the middle of the transmutation circle refer to the Three Primes in alchemy, which are Sulphur (1), Mercury (2) and Salt (3). Mercury stands for the volatility of an object, and it denotes the spirit. Sulphur stands for the unctuousness of a substance, and it refers to the soul. Lastly, Salt refers to solidity, and it stands for the body. These three are the building blocks of alchemy, and can be considered as the equivalents of modern day neutrons, protons & electrons.

The hexagon refers to 6 of the 7 planetary metals in alchemy. During the middle ages, the 7 planets were considered to have ruled over these metals.
Silver (4), refers to the memory, the subconscious, and the emotions of the human being. In alchemy, it represents the stomach, breasts, [the] womb, bodily fluids and the left side of a person.

On the other hand, Gold (6) refers to vitality, authority, and individuality of a person. Alchemically, it stands for the heart, the back, the spinal cord, and the right side of a person.

Copper (8) refers to beauty and the ability to give affection & love, while it represents the neck, kidneys, ovaries, and veins.

Tin (5) refers to moral values, philosophy, and the abstract mind. In alchemy, this metal stands for the Arteries, hips, thighs, feet and liver.

Lead (7) signifies discipline & responsibility, and it stands for bones, joints, knees, skin & teeth.

Iron (9) signifies desire, energy & drive, it represents the head, the muscles and the sex organs.

The Transmutation Circle in the link is from an Anime called "Fullmetal Alchemist", and I know for a fact that the writer of the Manga did a great deal of research of Alchemy to write her Manga. So I'm looking into seeing just how much of this Transmutation Circle is based off of 'real' Alchemist information, or if it's simply made up.

I believe that if we can prove that the Transmutation Circle in the Anime does not derive from 'real' alchemy, then we can assume this whole thing is a stunt, or at the very least, the work of someone who is mentally ill.

If I tell you that on the night of his disappearance, there was a conjunction between the moon, mars and mercury forming a Triangle in the sky. Number 2 is evidently connectable with mercury, about 1 and 3. Could sulphur and salt be connected to mars and the moon? If so it would explain what he might have been trying to do.

I'm curious about this one. If you pay attention to the first leg of the furniture, theres a 666 on the first text line. The symbols loooks diferent, but if he used the same method, must be easy to crack. I could give a try.

Alright Peserc. I took a look at the image in your link and sharpened them and changed the perspective of the closest text so we might get a better view of things. (I didn't see the "666" you were referring to)

The Green area is the first image with a changed perspective, and the red area is the second image with a changed perspective.

Hum? I'm not sure about the transmutation thought. If that was the case then why place a statue in the center of the symbol? If he was trying to summon Baruel like the others might have, then placing a statue in the middle would make since (in the summoning narrative, the statue would be used to place the soul of Baruel in as a measure of safety. Just like the overly designed symbol)


If he was trying to conduct a human transmutation, then why fill the center up with a statue when it would only interfere with who was being transmuted. If he was planning on using his soul to inhabitant the statue, then wouldn't he want a more articulate vessel?

Unfortunately I'm not actually very familiar with Alchemy stuff. I'm just trying to reconstruct the room in a more visually-friendly way so that people whom may know more about the topic have an easier time looking for clues.

Very good questions. It could simply be a matter of symbolism, though, and he wasn't actually trying to summon anything at all

What's particularly interesting is how orderly everything is. Usually you would find such cases where a person has a mental condition, such as schizophrenia, however, there is an extensive amount of disorder with their writing.

Good point, but then that does leave more questions as to why be so precise with everything if it wasn't for something like a believed transmutation or summoning?

We knew that the symbols occurred in both Bruno's and the Alien's eyes. It also appears in the other painting as well
