They had the votes before when it got vetoed, didn't they?

Yeah when you know that the bill you are passing will be vetoed and there are won't be any consequences for your actions its REAL easy to throw your support behind a politically partisan bill like that. A lot of those votes that were there during the Obama veto years suddenly got cold feet when they had to put their reputations and jobs on the line since a passing vote would stick this time.

Because they're douchebags.

And trying to sabotage Trump. The #NeverTrump people never went away. They just turned into obstructionists and provocateurs.

Yes. And 7 years to craft something. So...why this kludge?

Good point.

It took Obama and the uniparty seven years to create this monster.

It is ridiculous to think it can be completely reformed 2 months into the first term of a new administration.

peoples lives are at stake.

True but for the Koch Bros, 0 fks given..they were the ones who wanted a crappy bill worst.

Are you sure about that or did you prematurely pick up your pom poms?

Koch Brothers’ group vows millions to Republicans who vote against health care bill

I actually for once agree with the Koch's!

Good lettem waste their money, in the mean while am looking fwd to a constitution amendment to over turn Citizens United, get money outta politics.

Proves your previous post wrong though! Coming from Japan what do you have to say about you being wrong?

As far as CU I agree! Let's get term limits as well!

I am an expat , and nothing I said was wrong, but I still keep residence in NYC, gotta say tho ,universal health care do not suck in no way, so I don't see what's sooo scary about it. ppl are not dropping dead for lack of care or going broke because someone have cancer.

It must hurt to learn that not everyone in the government is willing to roll over and let Trump destroy everything he touches. Even among the right.

Actually, the ACA was passed by Congress in Obama's first year.

I think they were trying to be hasty about it, you know, get some progress going.

I must admit, these kinds of things take time.

This is serious political stuff.

Trump was stabbed in the back by his own party and he will be very pissed over this and get back at the freedom caucus.

Bannon is already started an enemies list and these GOP backstabbers are on it

Trumpcare is in trouble and if it fails, Steve Bannon has pledged to remember who defied the White House.Text

Bannon is a such an authoritarian bastard. Defied the White House? Finally they represented their people, their real bosses told them to vote against this bill.

Actually, it was the attempts by the admin to placate the Freedom Caucus which alienated the more moderate members.

What could Trump offer them? I don't think he was into the "Cornhusker Kickback" scene like Obama was.

So who would have been alienated if it was a straight 100% Obamacare repeal..with no replace. The same thing Republicans unanimously put on Obama's desk.

I know about those concessions. I'm saying that Trump isn't for giving $20 million to a Congressman's district, for his vote, like Obama did. (i.e. Senator Ben Nelson - The "Cornhusker Kickback"
